Produced by C3 Presents and AC Entertainment, the massive footprint of the festival site–known to millions as the home of the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival–will be transformed into a rock and roll playground with the all-star line-up appearing on three stages with 12 hours of music daily, camping and a variety of activities tailored specifically to concert-goers. This marks the first-ever event, beyond Bonnaroo, to utilize the 700-plus acre farm. On site adventures include Paranormal Cirque (an R-rated crazy yet fun fusion between circus, theatre, and cabaret in perfect harmony with the evolution of a show that brings you back to when we dream…and when we had nightmares and fantasies), the first annual EXIT 111 car show, Red Bull motocross demonstrations and a mega sports bar airing full sports coverage throughout the weekend, with more activities announced soon.

rocklahoma 2019 logo, rocklahoma

While we just love the live music scene here at the PiercingMetal High Command, we don’t manage to get to many of the awesome festivals that take place across our own country and abroad. However, since the readership is vast and often reaches way outside of our humble NYC dominion, we make sure to help to raise awareness of what is coming up and that brings me to the news about this years ROCKLAHOMA Festival which as you probably realized will take place in Oklahoma.

“Now That’s What I Call Rock” by Various Artists

Artist: Various Artists
Title: “Now That’s What I Call Rock”
Label: Now Music
Release Date: 1/22/2016
Genre: Rock
Rating: 3.5/5

I’m pretty sure that you have seen these compilations while you’ve shopped for all sorts of music at your local brick and mortar place and there is a good chance that you even own a few of them since they are rather diverse in their offerings. The latest edition of these “Now Music” collections is called “Now That’s What I Call Rock” and brings you twenty-one tracks from the hottest bands in the Rock genre in today’s world. I have to admit that I am not all that up on what is considered “Rock” nowadays based on my ardent appreciation for the more classic artists and being a tried and true Metalhead that follows the artists who are dishing out that sort of thing. That being said I have to admit that this collection intrigued me and I did recognize many of the names on the compilation and can cross a couple of them off of my need to see in concert list. The album starts with a Bring Me The Horizon tune and having caught them in a small club thanks to some special event last year I can say that this was a great way to begin the album. Notable contributions come from bands like Shinedown, Seether and Imagine Dragons. The latter of the listed having a song on a commercial that keeps playing over and over in my head. You cannot really go wrong with anything from Soundgarden’s Chris Cornell or Fall Out Boy since they sell out arena sized shows over and over and have mega popularity across a wide spanning demographic of music fans.

3 Doors Down & Seether Unite For Summer 2015 Tour

Formed back in 1996, the band Three Doors Down became a staple of Radio Hard Rock thanks to their debut album “The Better Life” which hit the radio waves in 2000 and delivered tracks such as “Kryptonite” and “Loser”. These songs also became the staples in far too many to count cover bands sets and they remain as such to this very day. Yesterday I received some press about a summer tour that is sure going to be hot with the Rock as the band teams up with Seether. Check out the Official Press Copy below and then we can discuss a little further.

Prior to the tour, the band will be in the studio recording a new album with multi-platinum hit record producer Matt Wallace. 3 Doors Down singer Brad Arnold shares, “We’re excited to be heading in to the studio with Matt to make a new 3 Doors Down record! We can’t wait to get some of these new songs we’ve been playing live put to tape. This is shaping up to be our best album yet!”
