Hey there my animated series loving Pop Culture fanatics. I’m here to share the news that the Netflix Original series “She-Ra and the Princesses of Power” is officially available to stream on the service if you are a subscriber and while this is a show geared towards a younger audience, we know that many of our dedicated readers have families and we like to keep them in the loop in the event that they missed the news. I’ve been posting the trailers over on “The Chronicles of Piercing Ken” since the audience is slightly broader in age and if you’d like to see that clip just click HERE for good measure. I’ve secured the poster, light premise and voice-casting for you to peruse before some closing editorial notions.

If you’ve been following the Pop Culture side of PiercingMetal for any length of time recently, you most likely know that I also occasionally “cross-post” with my “The Chronicles Of Piercing Ken” website when I feel that an item serves each of the two creative worlds. Case in point the now available to stream in full Netflix series “She-Ra and the Princesses of Power”, a show whose trailer can be found HERE on that website. This is the first time I’ve brought up the series to our Heavy Music and Pop Culture audience and I figured it a good idea since so many of our friends have younger kids or siblings. Below you can learn more about the show and its voice casting.

The Premise: She-Ra and the Princesses of Power follows Adora, an orphan raised by the Horde, an evil army led by Hordak, who rules the planet Etheria with an iron fist. One day, after getting lost in the woods, Adora finds a magic sword that transforms her into the titular Princess of Power, She-Ra. After realizing the suffering that the Horde has inflicted on Etheria and its inhabitants, Adora joins the Resistance in the fight against the Horde through rebuilding the Princess Alliance, a group of other magical girls that once all opposed Hordak. Adora’s newfound allegiance to the Resistance pits her against her former best friend Catra, whose sense of abandonment, malicious ambitions, and the disappearance of her former friend enables her to rise in the ranks of the Horde to become the new heroine’s mortal enemy. PiercingMetal Thoughts: As I’ve already mentioned up above, this series falls more along the lines for the younger generation of fan so if you have the sort of family circle members in your world, be sure to tune this in with them or for them what have you. Help keep the interest in superhero stuff in the growing minds. That’s all I have about the matter so I will see you next time with more and more stuff. Until then.
