Marvel Announces “The Dawn Of X” w 6 New Series Coming This Fall

With just days until HOUSE OF X #1 hits store shelves, Marvel announced six brand-new ongoing series with a suite of all-star creative teams to take mutantkind further than they’ve ever gone before, kicking off with X-MEN, EXCALIBUR, MARAUDERS, NEW MUTANTS, FALLEN ANGELS, AND X-FORCE!

Announced at Marvel’s Next Big Thing panel at San Diego Comic Con, these new series will build directly from the universe-shifting events of HOUSE OF X and POWERS OF X.

“House of X and Powers of X lay the groundwork for a whole new world of X-Men stories for years to come, and the Dawn of X books are the promise of that new world come to life,” said X-Men Senior Editor Jordan D. White. “They are the start of the new era that will change how we think of the X-Men and the kinds of stories we tell with them. It all begins here.”

HBO Presents “Watchmen” Official Comic Con Trailer

Thanks to the happenings and reveals from the in progress Comic Con International: San Diego (or SDCC for short); Our Pop Culture side of the fence has been thriving over the last couple of weeks and there is a lot more to come. Earlier today, HBO revealed the first full Official Trailer for their upcoming dramatic series “Watchmen” which is a continuation of the story that transpired in the film of the same name. You can watch this down below and if you’d like to see any of the other reveals and revelations from SDCC this year just click HERE to launch a new tab with all of that awesome stuff.

The Premise: Watchmen is set in “an alternate history where ‘superheroes’ are treated as outlaws” and “embraces the nostalgia of the original groundbreaking graphic novel while attempting to break new ground of its own.”

Hasbro Reveals “Marvel Legends 80th Anniversary” Comic Book Covers

If you’ve been following the website over the last couple of weeks, you already know that I’ve been letting the Pop Culture side of the fence take over as the massive Comic Con International: San Diego gets closer to happening. Part of the event will actually begin tomorrow and you’ll want to click HERE to see all of the posts that have been loaded onto the website so far. Now its time to share this super cool news from the fine folks at Hasbro Toys so do dig in.

In celebration of 80 years of Marvel Comics, we’re thrilled to share that Hasbro has created some amazing comic book cover images featuring a variety of figures from the new Marvel Legends 80th Anniversary line, including characters such as Iron Man, Thor, Storm, Colossus, and more. During San Diego Comic-Con later this week, the covers that feature the Marvel Legends X-Men figures will be made available for free for guests during two poster giveaway sessions at the Hasbro Booth (#3213)! Giveaway sessions will take place Friday at 10:30am and Saturday at 4:30pm. During each session two of the four posters will be distributed. Fans can swing by the booth during these times to collect all four to create one large X-Men poster. In addition, the Marvel Legends 80th Anniversary figures will be available for pre-order on Thursday, 7/18.

Godzilla Stomps into San Diego Comic-Con for the First Time

Many of the attendees of the upcoming Comic Con International: San Diego are in countdown mode since the event starts in some sense tomorrow with the larger convention beginning on Thursday. I’ve shared some coolness already which you can observe via THIS LINK and now its time to share some convention plans by the one and only Godzilla. Take a look.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: The more I read about the 2019 SDCC the sadder I get about not attending. I encourage our diehards to keep us in mind as they wander the floor and mention us as one of their preferred entertainment websites since the more the merrier after all. Dynamite Entertainment Reveals SDCC 2019 Plans

Dynamite announces their slate of San Diego Comic Con 2019 panel appearances and creators attending the show!

2019 is a huge year for Dynamite, marking the publisher’s 15th anniversary as well as the 50th anniversary of their flagship heroine Vampirella! It’s a big year of the San Diego Comic Con as well. The very first SDCC, then actually known as the Golden State Comic Book Convention, was 49 years ago. But wait… Think the math over again, that makes this the 50th convention. 50-50!To celebrate all these anniversaries and other exciting developments in the “Dynamite Universe,” the team has prepared a trio of tantalizing talks for longtime fans as well as newcomers jazzed about the latest critically acclaimed titles and more just around the corner. Executive Editor Joseph Rybandt will feature on all panels and be bringing along top tier talent to discuss the past, present and future of Dynamite!

First on Thursday, Dynamite kicks off the convention festivities with the Vampirella 50th Anniversary panel! Come by Room 8 from 5:30 – 6:30 PM to join current Vampirella writer Christopher Priest, legendary Vampi chronicler and scribe of the just announced Vengeance of Vampirella Tom Sniegoski, writer/artist and independent comics legend Joseph Michael Linsner, and veteran Vampi cover artist Joe Jusko. Lead by editor Joseph Rybandt, this merry team of pros will delve into their involvement on current Vampirella projects as well as fondly look back at her 50 years prior. She still looks just as good! And kicks just as much ass!
