It’s been a few months since the first clip from “Star Trek: Picard” came our way thanks to the SDCC 2019 reveals and now with New York Comic Con on its third day, I am happy to offer up another clip for this series which will be an exclusive to the CBS All Access streaming service. I always liked the character of Picard and actor Patrick Stewart so let’s check out this new clip down below. I will return with some closing editorial after you enjoy the clip, premise, casting and poster. “Engage”…

The Premise: The series is set 20 years after Jean-Luc Picard’s last appearance in Star Trek: Nemesis (2002), and finds the character deeply affected by the destruction of Romulus as depicted in the film Star Trek (2009).

As you’ve likely determined, the reveals from the SDCC 2019 event have been keeping me busy with our Pop Culture side of the fence and since there was so much, I venture to guess that I will be posting a lot more content in the days that follow it. Yesterday, CBS All Access delivered the first full trailer for the 2020 airing “Star Trek: Picard” series. As you know, this is the exclusive streaming service from the popular network and has so far given us series such as “Star Trek: Discovery” and “The Twilight Zone”. Now let’s watch yon trailer, review the premise and casting before I add in any additional editorial notions.

The Premise: The series is set 20 years after Jean-Luc Picard’s last appearance in Star Trek: Nemesis (2002), and finds the character deeply affected by the destruction of Romulus as depicted in the film Star Trek (2009).

Marvel Studios “Hall H” Panel Revelations from SDCC 2019

The reveals from this years Comic Con International: San Diego have been bountiful as you can see by clicking HERE but there was nothing that I was interested more in the revelations and announcements from the Marvel Studios panel at the hallowed “Hall H”. What I’ve done was taken the tweets as they went live on their Official Account and added them here so this post is a bit “live” for the duration. As everything is happening too fast to mull upon the ideas and announcements, I will be adding additional editorial in post. Let’s go and be aware that this postwill feature some spoilers to the outcome of “Avengers: Endgame” since that film came out back in April and if you are someone who’s waited this long it probably doesn’t matter to you anyway.

First of the announcements comes the news about the “Eternals” film with the cast being cited as well. I should stress that I was not watching the Hall H panel as I had hoped to be since I don’t think it was streaming anywhere and was just keeping pace alongside the assorted feeds I was following.

Eternals: In my vast collection of individual comic book issues, I do admit to owning at least a dozen issues that feature “The Eternals”. However, that being said, I was never much the fan of the Kirby creations and wonder how a movie about them can be made to work. Sure, Marvel Studios made “Guardians Of The Galaxy” work out to excellence with a cast of characters that were not the traditional GOTG to many of us so I have some faith. While skeptical, I am willing to let Marvel Studios work their magic.

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier: This is the first series announced the for Disney+ service which I will be subscribing to without hesitation. This one picks up post “Avengers: Endgame” and will likely follow Falcon as Falcon Cap since he has the shield now after the outcome of that last film. I’m very excited about the return of Zemo and knowing that he will be sporting the famous red hood that he is known for in the comics.
