Marvel Comics First Issues Coming May 2018

Happy May my comic book loving readers, we are here and ready to share the months first issues and special anniversary editions that will be heading our way thanks to the fine folks at Marvel Comics. Of course, the biggest news of this morning will be the blockbuster box office take from this past weekend where we found “Avengers: Infinity War” pulling in more than $630 million dollars in the global box office tally. This film only opened up on Friday my friends, so one has to assume that it is going to be riding high for the next few weeks. I’m planning on seeing it this morning at one of the early matinees but don’t worry – I will not be spoiling it for anyone. There are a LOT of comics to showcase here so I’d better get on down to business. Here we go.

Marvel Comics #1’s Available In December 2014

Keeping up with the comic book coolness that is heading our way in December, its time to shine a spotlight on the folks at Marvel Comics who will be starting our preparations into 2015 with two new titles in “SHIELD” and “All-New Miracleman Annual”. As I’ve done before, I’ve procured the cover art and creative teams behind these titles and have respectfully copied the premise from official press copy or their online descriptions for your benefit. Let’s get right down to it as I still have to work off that Thanksgiving turkey 🙂

Comic - All-New Miracleman Annual 1 - 2014

Celebrated comic creators Grant Morrison, Joe Quesada, Peter Milligan, and Mike Allred unite for a star-studded, can’t-miss comic event that will have the whole industry talking! “Miracleman is a legend that resonates deeply in the world of comics,” says Marvel Editor in Chief Axel Alonso. “Without its trailblazing stories, who knows what the landscape of comics would look like today? If you want to live up to that pedigree, you don’t pull any punches. That’s why we tapped two incredible creative teams — Grant Morrison and Joe Quesada; Peter Milligan and Mike Allred — for this historic annual. ALL-NEW MIRACLEMAN ANNUAL #1 is a must-read for any fan of the character, or the medium in general.”

Airing Tonight: “Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD” Season 2 (9/23/2014)

Have you been keeping up with Marvel’s “Agents Of SHIELD” yet? If not, I understand you since the first season dragged on a little bit and at times was finding me questioning whether or not I wanted to stick with it. Of course I decided to rally behind it since once on the DVR its always easy to zip past the slow parts. Plus I wanted to see how much referencing was being done to the films that are coming out faster than ever. Anyway, the second season begins tonight and I’ve added the poster, premise and casting. Check it out.

Poster - Agents of SHIELD - S2

Premise: The series follows the character of Phil Coulson, with Clark Gregg reprising his role from the films, and his team of S.H.I.E.L.D. The season sees Coulson, the new Director of S.H.I.E.L.D., attempt to rebuild the organization with his team of agents and allies, following its collapse with the infiltration of the terrorist organization Hydra. They are forced to operate in secrecy due to being wanted fugitives, and hunt down the remaining threats of Hydra. Several characters from Marvel Cinematic Universe films and Marvel One-Shots appear throughout the season. (taken from Wikipedia).
