The Scoop: So as you know, this year the annual New York Comic Con had gone virtual and delivered unto the Geeks at large an event known as “New York Comic Con x MCM Comic Con’s Metaverse”. Last night I posted the update from their press team which you can peruse by clicking HERE in the event that you didn’t get to experience any of it in “real time”. Now with Day Two of the convention closed out, I continue the process to shine the spotlight on what they deemed most noteworthy. Enjoy.
* Whoopi Goldberg, James Marsden, Greg Kinnear, Amber Heard, Jovan Adepo, Odessa Young, and Owen Teague joined showrunner Benjamin Cavell and executive producer Taylor Elmore to discuss their new limited series The Stand, and also revealed the first full trailer:
The Press Release:
Announced in an exclusive interview with IGN, Fabian Nicieza will be launching a new Juggernaut series this May with artist Ron Garney! Amidst all the smashing, Juggernaut will be trying to find his new place in the Marvel Universe and the series will explore his outlook towards mutantkind’s new status quo that Jonathan Hickman introduced last year in HOUSE OF X and POWERS OF X.
“That basically instigates the entire story. Having been X and lost, what does Cain become now? After years of back and forth and madness and sadness, he had become a member in good standing of the X-Men, and then while he’s away dancing in Limbo, mutantkind gets everything they could have ever hoped for… and Cain can’t be a part of that,” Nicieza told IGN. “How he reacts to that rejection becomes the exploration of who he is going to become without the one thing that — for good and bad — has defined him for most of his life.” Continue reading Marvel Announces New “Juggernaut” Series For May→
Happy Friday my comic book loving friends. Looks like the mighty Marvel media team wants to send us into the weekend with a little bit of mystery as they sent out an alert with the impacting statement of “The Best Defense”. Attached to the message was this crushing image of The Incredible Hulk. The art is by Ron Garney and Richard Isanove. Since they love to send several images out for this kind of announcement, as they come in I will edit this single post.
Hey there friends in Geek fandom, welcome back to my in-depth coverage of the first ever Special Edition NYC Con; This event is a brand new offshoot of the mega-popular NY Comic Con that happens here at the Javits Center in October and its overall premise and rallying call is “Comics, Art, Culture” and with that being the case I have a lot of photos to share with you. There is plenty of wonderful Cosplay coming up in this chapter and the ones to follow so how about we get underway. I’ll start off with one of the many artist tables that I saw.
