“There is a fifth dimension, beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man’s fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call The Twilight Zone.”.

Hey there my friends, so as we get ourselves in gear for the holiday weekend and the absolutely final performance of the legendary Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne, I felt that I should share the rundown of the Fourth of July “Twilight Zone” marathon that the Syfy network will be showing beginning tomorrow at around 5AM. Many of you might already know that this kind of feature is a regular thing for the website around New Year’s Eve since Syfy offers up a MASSIVE marathon of episodes and it tends to generate a lot of Google traction which I always am looking for. When I learned that this would be done for the upcoming holiday I felt like shining a spotlight on it since its really one of the greatest television shows of all time. This is also the fourth time that Syfy has done this marathon on July 4th so there is additional cause to celebrate. Now I’m not going to lie here but I am fairly certain that I’ve seen every single episode over the course of my lifetime and yet despite this I will still find myself tuning in for a few episodes when the marathons run. I do plan on watching some of this tomorrow but won’t be programming it onto the DVR since I did that once and it took quite some time to binge them all. I essentially watched them in the order that they had originally premiered and while that was fun I won’t need to do it again for awhile. The rundown below was collected from the Syfy Channel website and compared against local programming resources. Let’s have a look at all “39” of the episodes that will be shown. If you are feeling like programming this you might want to start now to get on top of it.

Greetings my fine readers of the PiercingMetal initiative and welcome back to the website once again as we steadily head towards the end of 2024. So if you’ve been following the site for a few years you were probably expecting or hoping for this article as its become a bit of a tradition by now as this post is the sixth go-round of the topic at hand. I’m talking about the absolutely legendary anthology series known as “The Twilight Zone”. The show first aired in 1959 and ran for five seasons with a total of 156 episodes that have remained as timeless and enthralling as they did some 65 years ago. Back in 2020, I decided to begin sharing the annual marathon that the folks over at the Syfy network do around this time. It’s a lengthy marathon that begins before and runs into the brand-new year and the Science Fiction and Mystery fans cannot get enough of it. Truth be told, back in 2020 it was better to be inside but I felt like continuing with this since its good Google traction and the show has remained one of my very favorites of all time. I’ve pointed out that many in my friendship circle don’t even go all out for New Year’s Eve anymore and I don’t mind that myself and would rather watch the ball drop on the television, field a few dozen text messages and then tune into some classic programming. This year’s marathon will begin in the early morning hours of the New Year’s Eve Day and run into the pre-dawn hours of January 2nd. All of the episodes appear to be from the original series with the exception of season #4 as no episodes appear to be from that one in the marathon. The marathon also seems to be a number of episodes shorter and runs for “113” as opposed to last year’s “142”. As a NYC resident that uses Spectrum as their cable provider, I culled the listings from their own Channel Guide and present it all down below for your consumption. If there are any last minute changes, don’t give me a hard time as once I cobbled together the post it went up online as is. You can send the network an email about it or complain on their social media channels. I still think that “113” episodes is a pretty beefy marathon so let’s take a look shall we?

Unless I am otherwise mistaken, you’ve surely heard that intro phrase before but if you haven’t, then boy do I have some work to assign you. It’s the famed opening narrative of the television series “The Twilight Zone”. Now if I haven’t declared this to be a tradition yet over the course of the years doing this type of post, then I am for sure doing it now as I welcome our readers once again to the now annual rundown of “The Twilight Zone” marathon that’s going to air on the SyFy network over the next few days. This is the perfect kind of post for our Pop Culture side of the fence and truth be told I am a very longtime fan of the classic Science Fiction/Mystery series. After doing this a few times with one of the most important years to keep people inside being 2020, I felt that this was the kind of feature to keep on doing and close out the year with something that a wide group would find interesting. These days, the going crazy revelry isn’t what it used to be like in the days before pandemic with many deciding since that time that they will just sit out the New Year’s Eve madness and what better way to keep oneself entertained than with a marathon of this kind. What impresses me still to this day about the show is how well it has held up over the years and how many other properties it has inspired. Over the years I’ve managed to see all of the original series and some of the relaunches except the Jordan Peele stuff since I was not subscribing to the network where they were broadcast. The show still impresses me with some of its themes and twists and surprises that still shock you even after you’ve seen the episode a half dozen times or more. This year the marathon appears to be quite extensive and begins early on Saturday morning, 12/30. It will run from then on through all of Sunday (New Year’s Eve) and Monday (New Year’s Day) before wrapping it up with a few additional episodes on Tuesday, January 2nd. This list was culled from the actual listings on the SyFy website so if anything changes or something you were looking to see doesn’t play, don’t yell at me. Send them an email. Let’s take a look at this truly massive rundown.

“There is a fifth dimension, beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man’s fears and the summit of his knowledge”.

So began the first season of the classic television series “The Twilight Zone” which was created by the great Rod Serling back in 1959 and tomorrow in the wee hours of the morning, the SyFy Channel will begin their annual marathon of episodes from this amazing series. I’ve pointed out that I wasn’t sure how long they’ve been doing this but it does seem like a number of years and its just the perfect bit of content to showcase in our Pop Culture section as the year wraps up and we all look towards the New Year with hopes and aspirations. Though I don’t think this applies to anyone in our readership, if you never watched this series and are a fan of incredible Science Fiction, you need to sit down and enjoy at least some of this marathon which spans all of five seasons and then some. Over the years there have been a number of relaunches and redos which I’d actually like to see featured in a marathon of their own at some point but I digress. I began this particular Film & Television Feature back in 2020 when the best place one could be was inside based on the unpredictability of the COVID-19 pandemic. Since that time the world has gotten much “better” but we do still have some ways to go IMHO so I will keep on sharing this because I am a longtime Science Fiction fan and have been watching episodes of the series whenever I chance upon them. It all still holds up and creators today need to pay mind to it. Below you will find the full rundown of the marathon which runs from New Year’s Eve Day into January 2nd and since there is a lot to program on the DVR or Cloud-based service you might use I’ve decided to post this the morning before. Let’s review.

Though I don’t remember when they actually started doing this, for the past few years the fine folks over at the SyFy network have been serving up a very loaded marathon of the Science Fiction classic series “The Twilight Zone”. Now I am talking about the original series that featured the great Rod Serling and not one of the many redos and relaunches that have surfaced over time. When I ran this feature in 2020 the goal was to keep all of you inside because it was just too unpredictable out there in terms of the virus. Since then we’ve come up with the vaccine and the world has set itself on two different sides while variants of the strain keep on coming. Over the past few weeks that latest one has caused a lot of grief so maybe staying inside and keeping to yourself once more isn’t a bad idea. This past year has found my making the website much more of a Metalized Geek Culture site and that leads me to listing the full marathon rundown for those interested once again. As a Science Fiction buff, I’ve long loved this series and plan on tuning in across the marathon for those very favorite episodes but I don’t think I am programming the DVR this time around. So now let’s get on down to business and learn which of the episodes are airing and when.
