PiercingMetal Thoughts: Historically speaking, I think I’ve only ever caught Spread Eagle in action once or twice but definitely not more than that. This was way back in the day when I used to go to a lot of shows and then just didn’t for a little bit of time to focus on work and the other adulting crap that we all face at one point or another. I really enjoyed the bands debut album and sadly was not able to catch any of their reunion shows of a few years ago so if they end up in NYC I will be making sure to be on point. I’ve kept up with some of their members as they work in other projects like Weapons of Anew, Sebastian Bach and UFO and feel it will be exciting to watch them rocking out some of their classics together once more. What do you think about this tour announcemen? Is it something that you would be rallying behind? Chime in down in the comments section and I will see you next time.

UFO Announces Final North American “Last Orders” Tour

The old saying that “all good things must come to an end” sure does seem to be ringing true for some of the worlds most influential Hard Rock and Metal bands these days. As you read this, “The Hottest Band In The World” KISS is on their “End Of The Road” tour while Elton John, Peter Frampton and Lynyrd Skynyrd have started or are wrapping up their own farewell go-rounds. It was back in May of 2018 that the influential UFO singer Phil Mogg announced his retirement (seen HERE)

The Press Release:
Last year Phil Mogg confirmed that this year’s 50th anniversary tour with UFO will be his last as the frontman of the long-running hard rock band. Consequently, it seems almost certain that at that point they will cease to exist. UFO were formed in London in 1969 and Mogg is their only ever-present member, performing on all of the group’s 22 studio albums.

While European dates have already been announced the band is now unveiling their initial North American dates for this final run. Confirmed dates are listed below and include two shows in UFO’s adopted hometown of Chicago, two special co-headline shows with fellow classic rock icons Blue Oyster Cult and two shows with Armored Saint supporting. A current list of confirmed dates can be found below. More shows will be added soon.
