While I am not sure how I missed seeing an Official Tour Announcement email, when I learned about the latest live adventures of the sisters in The Warning, I scanned as many feeds as I could find before only locating all of the dates in a Reddit thread. Since that was better than nothing here we are, so please get a pen or pencil or trusty mobile device and jot down the appearance that will be happening as The Warning brings the “Keep Me Fed” tour to a city near you. As you can see, the first batch of dates will be in support of Halsey who I can honestly say that I’ve never listened to a note of. Their own headlining run will kick off in July right after Independence Day and will run throughout most of the month.

If you haven’t heard about the three sister sensation that is The Warning by now then you have some serious catching up to do because they’ve been delivering some solid Hard Rock and Roll for several years and after catching them in concert a few years ago I can honestly say that they are worth looking into. They are currently on their headlining run called the “Keep Me Fed” tour and for the regional date they would be doing two back to back performances at the Warsaw Concerts space at the tail end of Greenpoint. Now for those who have seen shows here before, you already know that this is a sizable room and for those that don’t, please know that this is a sizable room ;p

I’m always excited to visit this venue despite it being a bit of a transit haul for me because it was the neighborhood that my Grandmother came from and I remember walking around it with her quite a bit when I was very young. So The Warning was doing two nights for their “Keep Me Fed” tour and I was going to be doing my thing on the first night as I had a toy event locked in for the night after. When I arrived I noticed that the line went from the front of the venue to all the way down the block. To my knowledge the two shows were completely sold out and that is always a great thing to find happening for an artist when they come to New York City. Starting off the musical menu for the night would be a band that I was going to get my first glimpse of tonight, the band Holy Wars. I admit that I didn’t know all that much about them but I am always open to seeing new Rock and Metal and I had to say that they hit the stage like a thunderclap. There was no set list posted for me to peruse but wow did they pack a punch courtesy of lead singer Kat Leon. Guitarist Nick Perez showed some solid skills while the drummer and bassist kept their rhythm section locked in. I didn’t catch their names that night but will be making sure to keep them in mind when I see them listed as a part of any other upcoming show I will be a part of. This was a really good start to the night.

In October, the band released their MAYDAY EP via LAVA/Republic Records that included standout singles “CHOKE,” “EVOLVE”, “DISCIPLE”, and “MARTIRIO.” Produced by the legendary David Bendeth (Paramore, Bring Me The Horizon, Breaking Benjamin), the project is an electrifying musical rollercoaster that offers an unapologetic look at issues faced by the younger generation today — from ever-present technology, communication problems caused by generation gaps, love, anxiety, and the overwhelming pressure to suppress emotions.
