Back in July I shared the Season 4 trailer for the AMC Studios Original Series “Preacher” which of course is loosely based on the DC Comics Vertigo series of the same name. If you missed that posting just click HERE to see it. The series begins its final go round this evening on AMC so let’s examine the poster, some premise and casting.
The Premise: Jesse Custer is a hard-drinking, chain-smoking preacher who, enduring a crisis of faith, becomes infused with an extraordinary power. He embarks on a quest to better understand his new gift and literally finds God, alongside his trigger-happy ex-girlfriend, Tulip, and new vampire friend, Cassidy. “Preacher” is an adaptation of the intense comic book series that was done by Steve Dillon and Garth Ennis. It ran as a part of the DC Comics Vertigo imprint for “75” total issues. The show does NOT follow the general canon of the printed page. The Geekier side of the small screen is closing up on some of the shows that have been amusing us for some time with “Gotham” already gone and “I Zombie” following suit soon enough. “The Gifted” is gone already with “Legion” following afterwards and now its time to deliver the final season of the AMC Original Series “Preacher”. The trailer for this was showcased during the SDCC and I’m broadcasting it here since that is what we do with this kind of stuff. Take a look.
