For the last four days the New York Comic Con took over the Javits Center for its 2024 happening and while it all wrapped up yesterday, I will be continuing along to share my findings from the convention for your entertainment. I’m now on Day Two but if you’re just only joining me here on the website I’ll ask you to click NYCC 2024 as that will launch a new browser tab that features every post that has already been published. I tend to follow a flowing narration so its easier for you, trust me. First up was a visual I saw when I looked down at the crosswalk. It was a promotion for the soon to be airing series “Creature Commandos”. I mentioned in the Day One observances that there is a photo op inside the convention.
Once inside through the detectors I decided to spend a few minutes in the general lobby area. I don’t always know the cosplays but am always happy to include smiling convention faces into the mix.
Continuing along from where we left off in the previous installment, I say “Welcome Back” my friends to the continued and oh so comprehensive covering of the 2023 New York Comic Con which recently took over NYC at the Javits Center. I’m now on the Day Two offerings and up to the second chapter so I won’t dance around too much longer in the introduction. I’ve still a lot to showcase from Day Two and through it all have been posting to Instagram and doing interviews for the YouTube Channel. You might recall that I closed up last time by heading back into the fray and these first couple of photos show you just that. Oh yes my friends, its time to get excited because you have arrived at the very first official post of the photo editorial takeover and event overview that PiercingMetal is serving up from the famed New York Comic Con which began this past Thursday. As you read this I am heading there for the fourth and final day but the coverage you’ll see is starting from the very top. The 2023 convention marks my 13th straight year of attendance in an official capacity as media and as expected there is a ton of awesome to share with you from this kind of event. The plan remains a constant with lots of photography and I’ll also be looking into some Artist Alley interviews if the talent is interested in doing them with me. Now before I get started let’s showcase the spiffy Press Badge for 2023. I loved that it has a black cat with a camera based on what I do and since I love black cats. Since so much has happened over these last few months I don’t expect everyone to remember every move or activity we do here at the Media Command HQ but it is without question that we love doing the conventions and trade shows. I’m talking about the New York Comic Con, Toy Fair, Anime NYC and even the New York International Auto Show, NY Now and more. After so many of them cancelling because of the pandemic, I’m eager to get back to proper activity but this year has proven to be a crapshoot and its still weird so our friends at the Toy Insider are going virtual once again and extended PiercingMetal and its companion website “The Chronicles of Piercing Ken” an invite to their second “Sweet Suite @Home” affair. It would be laid out in the same fashion as the 2020 affair which while fun was a tad confusing to get used to at the onset. This time around I prepped well in advance with the vendors I needed to “see” and was thinking I’ve gotten the hang of it all.
