My more tenured readership know full well just how much I get done at this event. From the Day To Day focuses to social media photo takeovers and plenty of Interviews for the YouTube Channel. I’m hardly interested in doing cosplay and having others tell me it looks cool or things that I might purchase. Of course I do buy some things along the way but its not the reason I’m sporting a Press badge. What I’ve also been doing of late is some Special Feature photo narratives and by doing it this way I can have the companies shine brighter on their own. It’s without question that Alex Ross is one of the greatest and most inspired of the artists we’ve gotten to enjoy the works of over the years and during the New York Comic Con, he had a small gallery presentation where a wide number of his paintings and sketches could be purchased by those with the necessary cake to do such things. Love all this stuff as much as I do, I will be sticking with the work we find on his actual comic book covers but maybe one day right.

Hallmark had a really big space and I just loved the “For All Fankind” motto. I think that needs to be on a button because I would wear something like that for sure.

As this continues the adventuring during the “Family Day” I can stress that the event was super duper crowded and this is always nice to see. Sure crowds can get a bit overwhelming at times but I loved seeing the masses down in the Artist Alley since that is the best place for the talent to make some money. Well greetings and felicitations my friends in convention land, I am happy to tell you that you have made it to the penultimate installment of the day to day coverage of the 2023 New York Comic Com. The Sunday edition of the event is known as “Family Day” and what this amounts to is a whole lot more little ones on the show floor and in the Artist Alley. For the last few years, the organizers of New York Comic Con have been permitting children up to a certain age to join their parents or guardians for free and while its always awesome to see the smiles of the younger generation of geeks, one must definitely watch their footing from the insane amount of strollers in the aisles. I’m stoked that the younger set comes into the event but I do feel that there is a certain age that they should begin this adventure because otherwise it just might be too much for them. Not that I have kids to worry about bringing along, but I don’t think one is doing any good by bringing an infant to the happening but again maybe that is just me. My first cosplayers of the convention today were more ready for an Anime event but that’s fine by me. There is such a mix of the conventional superheroes normally found at a comic convention and the Anime events these days.
