Ozzy Osbourne Talks About Multiple Grammy Nominations For “Patient Number 9”

OZZY OSBOURNE yesterday (November 15) earned four Grammy nominations for his hugely successful and critically acclaimed PATIENT NUMBER 9 album. These mark the most nominations he’s ever received for a single album. The 2022 nominations are for: Best Rock Performance: “Patient Number 9,” Ozzy Osbourne feat. Jeff Beck”; Best Metal Performance: “Degradation Rules,” Ozzy Osbourne feat. Tony lommi; Best Rock Song: “Patient Number 9,” John Osbourne, Chad Smith, Ali Tamposi, Robert Trujillo & Andrew Wotman, songwriters (Ozzy Osbourne feat. Jeff Beck); and Best Rock Album for Patient Number 9. Read a Q&A with OZZY below where he talks about the nominations and more.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and Grammy®-winning singer and songwriter previously has won three Grammy Awards and received eight nominations. In 1993 OZZY won a solo Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance for “I Don’t Want To Change the World” and two Grammys as a member of Black Sabbath for “Best Metal Performance” in 2000 for “Iron Man” and in 2013 for “Best Metal Performance” for “God Is Dead?” from 13.

Ozzy Osbourne Premieres First Of Three-Part “Patient Number 9” Video Series

Following the release of his much-anticipated PATIENT NUMBER 9, OZZY OSBOURNE is providing an inside look into the making of the album with a three-clip video series featuring interviews and in-studio clips with some of featured performers. Set to debut this Friday at 11:00 AM (ET)/8:00 AM (PT) and for the next two consecutive Fridays, the series includes exclusive interviews with OZZY and the album’s producer Andrew Watt. Sharon Osbourne, Tony Iommi (Black Sabbath), OZZY’s longtime guitarist Zakk Wylde, Robert Trujillo (Metallica), Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers), Duff McKagan (Guns N’ Roses) and Mike McCready (Pearl Jam) also offer insight into the making of the album. The series was created and produced by Jack Osbourne with interviews conducted by renowned British journalist Phil Alexander. Watch the first one below.

Ozzy Osbourne Confirms “Patient Number 9” Signing @ Fingerprints, Long Beach CA on 9/10/2022

To celebrate his new PATIENT NUMBER 9 album (out September 9 on Epic), Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and Grammy®-winning singer and songwriter OZZY OSBOURNE has confirmed a special in-store appearance and signing at Fingerprints in Long Beach, California on Saturday, September 10, the day after the album’s release. Attendees will need to pre-order a copy of PATIENT NUMBER 9 to attend the event as OZZY will only be signing copies of the new album. In order to sign as many copies as possible, the new album will be the only item signed. Masks will be required for all attendees and no photos with OZZY will be permitted. Recap Of Ozzy Osbourne’s Historic Appearance @ San Diego Comic-Con 2022

OZZY OSBOURNE made his SDCC debut this past Friday (July 22) setting a record for the largest signing of the year on the convention room floor (with fans lined up for hours) at the annual event when he teamed up with collaborator Todd McFarlane at the Stern Pinball/Rebellion Republic booth at the sold-out convention. Prior to the signing, the two revealed the artwork for the McFarlane-designed comic book (available in limited edition album packages, with details on all pre-orders here) before signing a poster of the McFarlane album artwork.
