I once said that there was never a better time to be a fan of comic books and the vivid stories that come from them and are now finding themselves to the big and small screen. The CW Entertainment network has a half dozen DC Comics superhero shows and now a popular Dark Horse Comics title “American Gods” is getting a second season for its tales. The show is based on the novel by the great Neil Gaiman and the first official trailer for this new season is down below. I’ve also added some premise and the massive casting from last season for those who might only just be learning about the series. Take a look.

I’ve already stated that I am not sure about catching this one right away but the DVR allows for easy binge watching. Have any of you readers sunk your teeth into the original novel at all? I know there is a comic book hitting the stands as well and perhaps I will add that to our narratives as well in the comic book review area. Tell me below if you will be watching. I’d like to hear.

Behold A Bevy Of “American Gods” Character Posters

I recently shared the trailer for the upcoming Starz show “American Gods” and just the other day they released a good number of character posters from the series. Since I love sharing those kind of things with you all, I figured let’s get right on down to it. I’ll start with the main show poster first for good measure.

Now let’s get on down to the nitty gritty of these out of this world characters. Boy, Neil Gaiman sure has created some interesting players for this one. Generally, I will line out the cast in a section at the close but with these posters I embedded who was who right on the image piece. Enjoy.

Starz Delivers The “American Gods” Trailer

So I’m going to admit to you all that I am not really on point about this one. I never read “American Gods” even though its by the great Neil Gaiman but I did know about the upcoming series thanks to the fine folks at Dark Horse who we see every year at Toy Fair. It seemed that not only would they be publishing a limited series comic book but also a line of products related to the upcoming live action drama which will air on the Starz network. Check out the first trailer, or what I believe to be the first trailer 😀

About The Series: American Gods is an American television series based on the novel of the same name, written by Neil Gaiman and originally published in 2001. The television series was developed by Bryan Fuller and Michael Green for the premium cable network Starz. Fuller and Green are the showrunners for the series. Gaiman serves as an executive producer along with Fuller, Green, Craig Cegielski, Stefanie Berk, David Slade, and Adam Kane. The series focuses on Shadow Moon, who meets a strange man named Mr. Wednesday after being released from prison, and soon becomes embroiled in a large-scale conflict between the Old Gods and the New Gods, who grow stronger each day. The first season originally ran on the Starz network and streaming service from April to June 2017. (thanks Wiki).
