Hasbro Reveals New “Transformers” At HASCON 2017

The first annual HasCon has come and went and while we didn’t attend we’ve been keeping a close bit of scrutiny on any reveals from the event and with that being said there were several brand new action figures from “The Transformers” line. To say that this is a mega-popular license for Hasbro Toys would be an understatement so what I’ve done is shared the images of the figures along with their awesome artwork. I will not be saying much since you don’t need your “oohs” and “ahhs” interrupted. Here we go.

Opening: “Transformers: The Last Knight” in Theaters Everywhere (6/21/2017)

“Autobots! Roll Out!!!!!” Yes its time once again to hear that rallying cry as the final Michael Bay effort on the franchise hits the big screen with “Transformers: The Last Knight”. The film premiered the other day in London, but gets its full on worldwide release today. Check out the official poster and some other details.

About The Film: Transformers: The Last Knight is an upcoming 2017 American science fiction-action film based on the Transformers toy line. It is the fifth installment of the live-action Transformers film series and a direct sequel to 2014’s Transformers: Age of Extinction. The film is directed by Michael Bay, with Mark Wahlberg and Stanley Tucci reprising their roles from Age of Extinction, alongside Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, and John Turturro from the first three films. This will be the fifth and final Transformers film to be directed by Bay. The film is scheduled to be released on June 23, 2017. (from Wiki)

Hasbro Reveals “Transformers: The Last Knight” SDCC 2017 Convention Exclusive

As a regular attendee of the American International Toy Fair, it’s great to keep my fellow geeks in the know about stuff that is beyond the realms of cool. Recently I’ve begun receiving transmissions from the publicity elite regarding some exclusives that will be available for purchase at the upcoming Comic Con International: San Diego or SDCC for the sake of brevity. Check out this brief on Hasbro’s “Transformers” line and an item that you will ONLY be able to purchase at this convention. Read on err “Roll Out”…..

The Press Release:
Following the exciting Transformers: The Last Knight movie release on June 21, fans will have the opportunity to take home a piece of the film with this Voyager Class Optimus Prime figure which will be available for purchase exclusively at Booth #3329 at SDCC 2017. The figure, which converts to Western Star truck mode based on Transformers: The Last Knight, features movie inspired detailing and collectible packaging. It also comes with a free gift with purchase: an authentic piece of truck tire used in the film with a certificate of authenticity from Western Star! IDW & Schick Presents: “Hydrobot Meets The Transformers” Free Comic

So about a week ago I had seen some buzz across the comic book webs about an upcoming free comic from the folks at IDW Publishing and Schick Razorblades if you can believe it. Since I haven’t seen said issue in my local shop yet, I felt that it was still safe to share this information with you since my shop is famous for getting any of the freebie treats that the companies are dishing out. Transformers “Masterpiece Movie Series” Optimus Prime Figure Revealed

I just received this bit of press about an awesome new collectible Transformers figure of Optimus Prime and I couldn’t wait to share it with you. As you know, we’ve been hitting Toy Fair for seven years now and just love to present these kinds of items for our fellow collectors and geeks. Dig into the provided press copy and images. I’ll close up with some thoughts at the end of it all.

The Press Release:
One of the biggest TRANSFORMERS products of 2017 was just revealed at the Beijing and Guangzhou Midnight Sales Event-the OPTIMUS PRIME MPM-4 figure, the latest figure from the MASTERPIECE MOVIE SERIES line! The figure is enclosed in a special glass window display, and fans are given the opportunity to take photos with it at this exclusive unveiling.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of Paramount and Michael Bay’s first Transformers blockbuster movie. We’re celebrating this milestone with the release of the OPTIMUS PRIME MPM-4 figure which is inspired by the iconic OPTIMUS PRIME character in the original 2007 TRANSFORMERS film. Co-created by Hasbro and Tomy, the figure converts from robot to classic truck mode and features eye-catching detail, articulated fingers and an interchangeable mask – perfect for fans and collectors alike.
