Amaranthe Announce The Cancellation Of Their North American 2020 Tour

Back when we first lauded the 2020 North American Tour by Amaranthe (seen HERE) we were pretty darned stoked based on it was not only a long overdue return but one that was bringing along two exciting bands on the run in Battle Beast and Seven Spires. Of course, the world changed in the middle of March and as result event after event after event was getting cancelled and now Amaranthe has revealed their pending plans will not be taking place either. Read on.

The Press Release:
Sweden’s hottest metal export AMARANTHE: recently announced their sixth studio album will be released this fall via Nuclear Blast Records.

Today, the band are sad to report with the current state of the Covid-19 pandemic their upcoming North American 2020 tour is cancelled. All ticket holders will be refunded by the service where they made the purchase. Please note the promoters are working diligently to refund the payments in a timely manner and appreciate ticket holders patience during the process. The band thank fans for the understanding while they work on rescheduling the anticipated tour.

Amaranthe Announces 2017 US Tour

As the year makes its steady draw to an end the plans for the brand new one begin to manifest and that means a lot of the tours at the dawn of 2017 are being announced. This one outlines the plans for the wonderful sounds of Amaranthe. Check it out below the poster and then I’ll return with some thoughts.

AMARANTHE TO TOUR THE U.S. in 2017 – NEW ALBUM MAXIMALISM OUT NOW

Amaranthe are finally bringing Maximalism to North America. The band has just announced a U.S. headline tour for 2017, with support from Failure Anthem, Citizen Zero, Cypher 16, and Smash Into Pieces. The tour is the band’s first in support of its latest glorious opus, Maximalism, which came out in October via Spinefarm Records and featured the unforgettable, fist-pumping anthem “That Song.” Listen to it here.

Of the upcoming U.S. trek, guitarist Olof Mörck said, “It is with great excitement that we can now confirm the next leg of our MAXIMALISM World Tour: North America! A year has passed since our last visit and we have been looking forward greatly to return!”

Back in May I lined out the touring plans for Amaranthe who were also heading our way with Kobra and The Lotus in tow. You can check out that full item by clicking on THIS LINK. The reason for this post is to make sure that you are all aware of the additional dates that I just received in a press release yesterday. Metal Sextet Amaranthe Announces 2013 North American Headline Tour

Having been a listener to the talented Amaranthe since their debut album, it’s great to find them coming over to our shores for a headlining run and bringing another band that has been piquing my interest with Kobra and The Lotus. After years in waiting, and a short prelude in the form of their 2012 PROGPOWER USA appearance, Swedish/Danish modern metal sextet AMARANTHE are now very excited to announce their very first U.S. headline tour, starting on July 17th in New York City at the Gramercy Theatre! The tour hits several major U.S. cities and more dates are scheduled to be added soon. Support will come from Kobra And The Lotus. Stay tuned to the official AMARANTHE site www.amaranthe.se and the official band Facebook page for updates.

In a statement, the band says, “AMARANTHE are now extremely proud and very excited to announce our very first USA headline tour! After a fantastically successful The Nexus World Tour in Europe and one in Asia, consisting of almost 50 shows, it is now time to bring this monster to the U.S.! The fans across the Atlantic have been very supportive since AMARANTHE’s early demo days, and it has long been a dream for us to properly perform there. The trek will go from east to west, and more than the initially released dates will announced shortly! Support will come from KOBRA AND THE LOTUS, a great up and coming Canadian heavy metal act, and more bands will open for this core package. See all of you American fans in July!”
