Hey there friends, welcome thee back to the PiercingMetal explorations of the 2021 New York Comic Con. I’m still on the Day One part of the adventure and believe it or not this will be the last part from this day. If you’ve missed any of the earlier NYCC posts just click HERE to launch them all in a new browser tab. I’ll start the visuals with these two awesome Red Lantern cosplayers.
Hello my friends and welcome back to PiercingMetal’s in-depth exploration of the 2021 New York Comic Con. You’ve arrived at the second part of our Day One exploring and to see all the related posts that preceded this just click HERE to launch in a new browser tab. I’ll be chiming in across the images when needed so let’s get moving.
The New York Comic Con was returning to an in-person event at the Javits Center but it wouldn’t be “the same” in terms of the way that it was going to be held. With the virus still among us, the patrons needed to show a proof of full vaccinations which is either two doses of Pfizer or Moderna or one dose of the Johnson and Johnson vaccine. I’ll begin my photographic journey with the space in the empty lot that was set up to confirm vaccination and issue a wrist band. I was okay with this need as I am taking a Covid Compliance Officer class next week to do work in this field.
One of the conditions for this year’s event was that you needed to wear a facemask that covered your mouth and nose. I’ve been wearing this kind of thing for months now since other events had started to happen and with work requirements. Our first cosplayer photo shows a unique take on Jack Skellington with her facemask.
