Back when we first lauded the 2020 North American Tour by Amaranthe (seen HERE) we were pretty darned stoked based on it was not only a long overdue return but one that was bringing along two exciting bands on the run in Battle Beast and Seven Spires. Of course, the world changed in the middle of March and as result event after event after event was getting cancelled and now Amaranthe has revealed their pending plans will not be taking place either. Sweden’s hottest metal export AMARANTHE: recently announced their sixth studio album will be released this fall via Nuclear Blast Records.
Today, the band are sad to report with the current state of the Covid-19 pandemic their upcoming North American 2020 tour is cancelled. All ticket holders will be refunded by the service where they made the purchase. Please note the promoters are working diligently to refund the payments in a timely manner and appreciate ticket holders patience during the process. I’ve been doing my best to keep the masses informed in regards to the tour and special event cancellations and the streaming experiences that seem to pop up on a regular basis based on the aforementioned postponements. With that being said, the Finnish band Battle Beast revealed that they too will be embarking on a special live stream event and this one follows the one that we announced from The 69 Eyes by happening the following day. AMARANTHE is proud to announce their North American tour 2020! The 37-date trek will kick-off at the Soundstage in Baltimore on August 20, 2020 and will make stops in Chicago, Vancouver and Denver before concluding on October 2, 2020 at the Riverfront Live in Cincinnati, OH. Joining the band on the tour are special guests Finnish heavy metallers and label-mates BATTLE BEAST as well as Boston symphonic metal band SEVEN SPIRES. As it’s been awhile since we’ve done a proper ticket giveaway contest I figured there was no better show to get back into practice with than the return of Kamelot to NYC and their wonderful Finnish supporting acts of Sonata Arctica and Battle Beast. We’re well past our 250th overall contest and are closing in on a milestone number of tickets being dished out. Let’s get down to business.
The Details: When I launched PiercingMetal back in 2005, one of the greatest things about doing this kind of thing was getting to learn more about new and exciting bands. Back in our early days we did just that and not only was I witnessing the awesome from bands like Kamelot and Sonata Arctica, I have had numerous chats with them over the years and consider them vital parts of this outlets growth and positive support of Metal. I am fortunate for our positive exchanges and absolutely honored by the chance to offer our lucky diehards a ticket to this sure to be extraordinary show. When you add the might of Battle Beast as well, this is just a win, win, win sort of night. Now onto the finer points and how to participate.

After an epic sold out show earlier this year at the historic Irving Plaza, the demand for another New York City event was immediate. KAMELOT chose the venue Terminal 5 for the next appearance, along with bringing in some heavy hitters in the Symphonic and Metal scene.
