The Details: Truth be told I never followed Hawkwind during their original heyday based on my overall vintage but as I grew older surely learned to appreciate their offerings and several musicians of note that they helped launched the careers of. I was interested in seeing the current version of Hawkwind that was supposed to visit last year but was cancelled due to artist illness but when I learned about the appearance of their former member Nik Turner who would be delivering a set of their tunes at The Studio, I said to myself “Let’s attend this and even go one better by setting up a contest for tickets for his fans”. Yeah that is right, thanks to the promoters of Excess DB Entertainment, PiercingMetal is going to put a few lucky readers into this show which will be held at The Studio at Webster Hall as opposed to the originally scheduled Marlin Room.
