20th Century Fox: “Dark Phoenix” Official Trailer (2/14/2019)

The fans of the X-Men film franchise have been waiting for awhile now for the first look trailer for “Dark Phoenix” and this was just revealed a short time ago. I’ve embedded it for you all to enjoy and even provided come casting and the teaser poster. Let’s take a look shall we.

The Premise: After the events of X-Men: Apocalypse, the X-Men face their most formidable and powerful foe: one of their own, Jean Grey. During a rescue mission in space, Jean is nearly killed when she is hit by a mysterious cosmic force. Once she returns home, this force not only makes her infinitely more powerful, but far more unstable. Wrestling with this entity inside her, Jean unleashes her powers in ways she can neither comprehend nor contain. With Jean spiraling out of control, and hurting the ones she loves most, she begins to unravel the very fabric that holds the X-Men together. Now, with this family falling apart, they must find a way to unite – not only to save Jean’s soul, but to save our very planet from aliens who wish to weaponize this force and rule the galaxy.

Behold: The “X-Men: Apocalypse” Character Posters

By now I’m hoping you have seen the trailer for the upcoming 20th Century Fox film that continues the X-Men franchise with “X-Men: Apocalypse” and if not just click HERE so you are all caught up. Recently, they’ve released what are called the “character” posters and since this film brings back some characters along with some brand new ones I wanted to share these posters with you. In the event you are not 100% up on this franchise I made sure to add who each character is be they villain of hero. At the close I added the premise and partial casting as well. Here we go.

Gentlemen, start your engines and make sure you have enough weapons on board your ride with you as “Mad Max: Fury Road”. This is the fourth film in the “Mad Max” franchise and comes care of George Miller (director, producer, co-writer) and will be the first film to present this character in about thirty years. The Premise: The film is set in a future desert wasteland where gasoline and water are scarce commodities. When cult leader Immortan Joe sends Imperator Furiosa off in an armored tanker truck to collect gasoline, he sees her drive significantly off route. Joe sends his entire army in pursuit of her, which leads to a lengthy road battle, which sees one of Joe’s captives, Max, joining forces with Furiosa.

The fate of Mutantkind’s future lies deep within its past as X-Men of all generations and teams unite for battle in “X-Men: Days Of Future Past” which opens up in theaters everywhere today. I’ve been a fan of the X-Men comics franchise for many years and have so far seen all of the films so this one interests me quite a bit. The Premise: X-Men: Days of Future Past is a 2014 superhero film directed and co-produced by Bryan Singer and written by Simon Kinberg from a story by Kinberg, Jane Goldman and Matthew Vaughn. The film is based on the fictional X-Men characters that appear in Marvel Comics and is the seventh installment of the X-Men film series, the sequel to both X-Men: The Last Stand (2006) and X-Men: First Class (2011). The story, inspired by the 1981 Uncanny X-Men storyline “Days of Future Past” by Chris Claremont and John Byrne, focuses on two time periods, with Wolverine traveling back in time to 1973 to change history and prevent an event that results in doom for both humans and mutants.

With two weeks or so until the release of the 20th Century Fox film “X-Men: Days Of Future Past”, I felt that it was a good time as any to share a whole bunch of character promotional posters. Some you might have seen already here on the website, but the rest should be new to your eyes. I will start out with the Official Theatrical Poster and keep to adding the premise and ensemble casting to the posts so you go in fully armed.
