As you might already know, this past weekend was the massive media extravaganza known as New York Comic Con. It’s all put together by the fine folks at ReedPOP who fill up the spacious Javits Center with tens of thousands of like-minded fans of comics, artists and writers, pop culture, films and celebrities. Last year at this very same convention, I met the folks at Behemoth Records who had a whole lot of Metal going on and I added company founder Nathan Yocum to my series of creative briefs for the Official YouTube Channel. If you’ve interest in seeing that piece just click play on the embedded clip below as Behemoth is the first interview in the set. Oh yeah and it would be wonderful if you also subscribed to that Channel but I digress.
Alright my friends, you know how this works by now but welcome back to another installment of my in-depth photo and editorial coverage of the 2022 New York Comic Con which was taking over the Javits Center for four days. I’m now on Part Two from Day Two and as usual the plan is to be here for all four days adventurers, I have returned once more to continue along with the visuals captured on Day One of this massive media happening. It’s been fun so far and I’ll pick up where the exploring paused. As mentioned in the earlier installments, you’re going to want to click HERE since that will open up a window with all of our posts about this years convention. It’s always best to start at the beginning since I tend to refer to other things as I go along. Let’s wander.
Greetings my fellow geeks and welcome back to my continued presentations from the 2022 edition of the New York Comic Con. I’m starting on the Day Two stuff now and since three installments like this precede this post along with a wealth of exhibitor posts, you are going to want to click HERE to see everything in the order that it was posted. As I’ve said in the earlier posts, we suggest that you start at the beginning because it gives you a proper idea about the event if you are from far away. It also gives us extra time on site in our statistics and Google loves that stuff. Let’s get right on down into it and this time I will start with the Short video that I recorded only a few minutes after I arrived. That lives on our YouTube Channel which I hope you will give a Subscribe to.
As you’ve seen already and on numerous NYCC posts over the years, I like to focus on the fans/cosplayers who drop good money on attending. The ReedPOP folks always remind their press outlets that they are fan first and I like to help that along by showcasing the hard work like this awesome Gem.
Hello there my friends and let me say that I know you are looking for another full on overview of the New York Comic Con like I did with the recent posts from my Day One adventuring. As you know, I always try to keep this kind of stuff interesting and felt that I should mix it up just a little bit with this years posts. Since we stopped by the Abrams Books and Marvel Entertainment booth, I decided to take those photos out of the larger rundown and showcase them in a post of their own. First up is the Abrams Books booth.
The Abrams Books booth was super busy at New York Comic Con and I loved to see this since I am a big fan of their books. I own several and really think that I should be reviewing more of them for the website because most of what they publish really speaks to our Pop Culture readership. The Fantastic Four book you see is done by Alex Ross and apparently is his first time writing a story unless I heard them wrong. Either way I need a copy of this. I loved the John Byrne “Fantastic Four” era and I am sure Ross will illustrate them wonderfully.
Hey there my brave New York Comic Con adventurers, I have returned once more to continue along with the visuals captured on Day One of this massive media happening.
I wanted to see another angle of the “Back To The Future” DeLorean since I’ve always loved that car. This will obviously not be a part of the play since this is a real deal car. One has to imagine that a Broadway set piece will need to be lighter. I could be wrong but who knows.
