Welcome back my fellow Comic Book fans, I am so glad that you could once again join us for the documenting of this years Comic Con. It is without question one of the most daunting things I had ever attended as a member of the media because I wanted to bring you into the Javits Center with my words and images and I think that I have managed to do so with the previous five chapters in the tale. Don’t worry, you can take a deep breath now, as this will be the final chapter about the Con and you can return to your day in peace when we are done. Let’s get this party started. PiercingMetal Goes To New York Comic Con & Anime Festival 2010: Day 3 (Part One)
To many people of the world, Sunday is the day of rest but there would be no such occurrence for me as this was the third and final day of the 2010 NY Comic Con and Anime Festival. The massive event started this past Friday and it was reported that something close to 80,000 people were in attendance yesterday which was Saturday. I guess that is why it was so tricky to navigate the aisles that day. With this being the final go round I was hopeful that while busy and well attended, that it would not be anywhere near as crushing as it was yesterday. Off we go.
As I wandered the Con on Day Three I caught sight of a video game being played by a number of fans. It allowed you to show off your own dance moves as if you were controlling the now deceased King Of Pop, Michael Jackson. I watched for a couple of minutes and found the graphics interesting and the game is loaded with his tunes. It’s for the Wii system which I do not have in my Metal HQ, but seems to be something many people will enjoy. Long live the King eh?

PiercingMetal Goes To New York Comic Con & Anime Festival 2010: Day 2 (Part Two)
So here we are again with our extensive coverage of the happenings over at the Jacob Javits Center for the 5th Annual NY Comic Con & Anime Festival. As we had previously mentioned in the posts related to the event, the three day affair was very simply too massive in scope to just present to you in one narrative so we broke it down into a few unique parts. Welcome to chapter four, I thank you for returning and hope you are enjoying this stuff as much as we are. PiercingMetal Goes To New Yoek Comic Con & Anime Festival 2010: Day 1 (Part Two)
So here we are again with what I am calling “Part Two” of the Day One coverage of NY Comic Con & Anime Festival 2010. My reason for the sub-dividing of it all was based on my seeing so much and wanting to share it all with you. If you have never attended a Comic Con like this you will really thank me for it later. To say that I was “camera happy” would be an understatement but again there was a lot to absorb. Let’s get down to it. Here’s a living dead girl supporting the “It Sucks To Be Dead” title.
Next up is our friend Steve Bunche, Media Ronin and Comics Expert Emeritus. I’ve known Steve a long time and ran into him again after many years on the train to work. He’s tossed some of his views into the fires of PiercingMetal content as well. Right now he was catching a break and watching the Connor/Palmiotti tables in Artists Alley.
Now let’s get back to some of the artists tables. Here is Victor Ochoa and his books “Toxicity” and “Beloved”.

PiercingMetal Goes To NY Comic Con & Anime Festival 2010: Day 1 (Part One)
It’s that time of year again when the NY Comic Con & Anime Festival hit NYC and take over the Jacob Javits Center for a few days. This yearly event brings together the mighty hordes of comic book fans and Cosplayers alike gathered en masse to mingle with artists and the companies that provide this entertainment medium, and there are even celebrities in attendance for good measure. The crowd of people is in the tens of thousands and this is the best place to be if you love comic books, video games and want to interact with people who hold similar interests. You might be wondering why this would be given space on a site that is primarily focused on the Heavy Metal music scene but truth be told I’ve been a fan of the comics medium for many, many years but don’t collect them as actively as I used to based on space constraints. I still read them when I can and am amazed about the amount of changes that have taken place in a number of the character histories but that is not what this narrative is about. Instead, this blog posting is about my adventures at the Convention and aimed at showing you what caught our attention as we wandered its massive displays over the course of three days. I figured with the amount of musical artists who had vested interests in the medium that we would find some interesting stuff as we adventured. I’ve broken the journey up into individual days but be aware that even in doing this that the narratives are long. Let’s get this trip underway shall we?
It begins here at the Jacob Javits Center and this would be my first time covering the convention as a member of the press so I wanted to take full advantage of what was going on inside these walls. As I walked toward the Javits Center I was reminded of the classic “Challenge Of The Super Friends” cartoon and hence my photographs quote. It’s best to say this in a deep and powerful voice.
