A few weeks ago I posted a narrative that discussed the 2011 year in my blogging adventures and how we had used the various criteria that get written about in this particular part of PiercingMetal.com – After this went online I got to thinking. What were the most popular posts for the year in peoples minds and what were they reading more than some of the other stuff that we had offered them? With that in mind I checked the statistics for the blog and listed the Top 20 Posts that were accessed in 2011. You will notice that some of them are from previous years in addition to what was written in 2011 and I felt that it would be interesting to see the whole list as opposed to just focusing on items that were written in 2011. Clicking on the title will launch the post so please do give them a visit. Perhaps you missed it when it was first written yourself, or meant to leave a comment and didn’t. There is truly no time like the present.
Welcome back my fellow Comic Book fans, I am so glad that you could once again join us for the documenting of this years Comic Con. It is without question one of the most daunting things I had ever attended as a member of the media because I wanted to bring you into the Javits Center with my words and images and I think that I have managed to do so with the previous five chapters in the tale. Don’t worry, you can take a deep breath now, as this will be the final chapter about the Con and you can return to your day in peace when we are done. Let’s get this party started. To many people of the world, Sunday is the day of rest but there would be no such occurrence for me as this was the third and final day of the 2010 NY Comic Con and Anime Festival. The massive event started this past Friday and it was reported that something close to 80,000 people were in attendance yesterday which was Saturday. I guess that is why it was so tricky to navigate the aisles that day. With this being the final go round I was hopeful that while busy and well attended, that it would not be anywhere near as crushing as it was yesterday. Off we go.
As I wandered the Con on Day Three I caught sight of a video game being played by a number of fans. It allowed you to show off your own dance moves as if you were controlling the now deceased King Of Pop, Michael Jackson. I watched for a couple of minutes and found the graphics interesting and the game is loaded with his tunes. It’s for the Wii system which I do not have in my Metal HQ, but seems to be something many people will enjoy. Long live the King eh?
So here we are again with our extensive coverage of the happenings over at the Jacob Javits Center for the 5th Annual NY Comic Con & Anime Festival. As we had previously mentioned in the posts related to the event, the three day affair was very simply too massive in scope to just present to you in one narrative so we broke it down into a few unique parts. Welcome to chapter four, I thank you for returning and hope you are enjoying this stuff as much as we are. Continue reading PiercingMetal Goes To NY Comic Con & Anime Festival 2010: Day 2 (Part Two)
Welcome back, we are glad that you decided to join us for the continuation of the tale that we began just the other day. So where were we? Oh yes, we were at the Jacob Javits Center enjoying the 5th Annual NY Comic Con & Anime Festival that was taking place over the course of three days. The event was nothing less than massive in scope and resultant of all the observations found me not only sub-dividing the coverage into day by day but even splitting those up to be sure to get it all out to you in the best fashion. With that being said, let the adventuring continue.
The shot above shows the lines as they wrapped around the block. It was a lot worse than you see and this was very early in the morning. I didn’t take any other outside shots since I needed to figure out how to quickly get inside. Continue reading PiercingMetal Goes To NY Comic Con & Anime Festival 2010: Day 2 (Part One)
