It was just about a month ago when I first discussed the coming of age teen comedy “Metal Lords” and while I had said in the trailer post (found HERE) that this wasn’t usually our focus – the film is based on some youths looking to start a Metal band and I think most of the musicians in our readership can relate to it. If you’ve got some time you might want to head over to Netflix and see the film which begins streaming today. Down below I’ve once again includes the premise, casting and artwork. Have at it.
While we are totally down with showcasing upcoming films that fall into our demographics interest here on PiercingMetal, our Pop Culture Film and Television section does NOT have all that many “Teen Comedy” entries. Hmm, now that I think about it, I can’t recall there even being one. Until now. So what makes me delve into that portion of the cinematic sense? Well, it’s a coming of age film about some students who are forming a Metal band. Color me sold. Here is the Official Trailer for the upcoming release that will stream on Netflix next month.
The Premise: Two kids start a metal band in a high school where exactly two kids care about metal. They can’t find a bassist, but there is this one girl who plays the cello. They need to work together if they’re ever going to win the Battle of the Bands. (c/o YouTube) Continue reading Neflix Presents “Metal Lords” Official Trailer→
In just about a month, Netflix will begin streaming the live-action adaptation of the mega-popular “Cowboy Bebop” Anime series which features the great John Cho as the lead character Spike. I’ve already lined out my relative lack of Anime background but I have Netflix as a service and will likely sit down to binge watch it when time permits. Since this stems from a beloved franchise, I plan on offering up whatever features and trailers they dish out for our readers who hold this property close to their own hearts. With that said you can follow along by clicking HERE and also enjoy a new Teaser called “The Lost Session” down below. I’ve added the light premise, casting and some images to make your time on the website more enjoyable. See you at the close.
Despite my love of the comic book scene and numerous conventions, I am so out of my element when it comes to most of the Anime stuff like “Cowboy Bebop” which will be getting its own live-action series in the coming months on the Netflix Streaming service. The first visual of the series is presented below along with some light premise and casting so please enjoy.
The Netflix Original Series “Lucifer” is returning for its sixth and final season in the coming weeks and fans of the show have been glued to its continuing on after being cancelled by Fox after season three. More about the show is below the Official Trailer, and I’ve included some casting along with what I imagine will be the Final Poster. Take a look.
The Plot: The series focuses on Lucifer Morningstar, a handsome and powerful angel who was cast out of Heaven for his rebellion. As the Devil, Lucifer tires of the millennia he spent being the Lord of Hell, punishing people. Becoming increasingly bored and unhappy with his life in Hell, he abdicates his throne in defiance of his father (God) and abandons his kingdom for Los Angeles, where he runs his own nightclub called Lux. When he finds himself involved in a murder investigation, he meets the intriguing Detective Chloe Decker. After helping the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) solve the case by using his power to manipulate humans into revealing their deepest desires, Lucifer accepts a subsequent invitation to work with Chloe as a consultant to the department, and throughout the series, they encounter all sorts of supernatural beings while solving crimes together and developing their relationship.
