The fine folks over at Live Nation have just announced a massive Emo-themed festival that will take place in October in Las Vegas. It also features more bands than you can shake a stick at but why would you do that to some talented musicians anyway. Here is their brief press copy along with the poster. I’ve taken the time to type up the whole list for you in case the poster is a little hard to see on the website.
The Press Release:
Festival to feature epic lineup of emo and rock artists from the past two decades, including My Chemical Romance, Paramore, A Day To Remember, The Used, Taking Back Sunday, Avril Lavigne, Dashboard Confessional, Jimmy Eat World, Alkaline Trio, The All American Rejects and dozens more. Special presale starts Friday, Jan. 21 at 10 am PT for fans who sign up for early access to passes online at whenwewereyoungfestival.com (linked below) Continue reading Live Nation Announces “When We Were Young” Festival In October→
Monday’s have been the scene of some truly incredible tour announcements and then also some that make you sit back and wonder what made the promoters organize them since in most cases the two sides of the coin are vastly different. Such is the news about Blink 182 and Lil Wayne doing a summer co-headlining tour. Check out the press release, poster and the dates and I will return at the close.
The Press Release:
Multi-platinum, award winning artists blink-182 and Lil Wayne announced they’ll be hitting the road together for the first time ever on a co-headlining tour across North America this summer. Special guest Neck Deep will join on all dates. Produced by Live Nation, the massive 38-city outing will kick off June 27th in Columbus, OH and make stops in Toronto, Atlanta, Houston, Los Angeles, and more before wrapping September 16th in Cincinnati, OH. The tour will see both artists playing indoors and outdoors in arenas and amphitheaters across the U.S. and Canada all summer long.
To celebrate the upcoming tour, blink-182 and Lil Wayne recently got together to record a special tour announcement video, featuring a mash-up of their hits “What’s My Age Again?” and “A Milli.” Watch the video now
