After a quick Google Maps analysis, it seems to be in Williamsburg, and is not too far a hike from the G Line on the MTA if you are not driving. Just the other day, a friend from the NYC Metal Scene that I’ve known for some years asked if I could share the news about the latest developments with the 2018 NYDM Music Festival. This massive annual event is organized by the heads of the NYDM individuals and for those who are wondering what the acronym means it stands for “New York Death Militia”. You’ve very likely seen patches like the one up above on jackets at Metal shows. Originally, this three day happening was set for a space in Tappan, NY but its since been moved to the Mid-Hudson Civic Center for its biggest two days and then to the more intimate Debonair Music Hall in Teaneck, NJ. The other day a rather “cryptic” Instsgram photo was making the rounds and causing all sorts of ruckus. It was the “Fiend” who many realize is the infamous mascot of the legendary Misfits. The visual was in the shape of NJ so all were screaming about the bands long anticipated return to the East Coast but where would they play? Well, the answers are now down below. Check it out.

The Original Misfits will finally make their triumphant return to where it all began over 30 years ago in New Jersey. Today, The Original Misfits have announced that the band will reunite for their only area performance at Prudential Center in Newark, N.J. on May 19. Now fans on the east coast will have their first opportunity to experience reunited original singer/songwriter Glenn Danzig and original bassist Jerry Only. This unprecedented reunion and lineup of legendary horror-punk trailblazers/modern-metal pioneers was one of the hottest tickets of 2017, and will now undoubtedly be again in 2018.
