Next week, the latest Marvel Comics superhero joins the MCU officially with the premiere of “Ms. Marvel” and I am excited about how fast this universe is expanding and the characters that they are bringing to life. You might have already seen my post about the Official Trailer of which there only seems to have been the one, and now its time to enjoy some of the promotional posters down below. I will begin with the first teaser, showcase the premise and casting before continuing along.
The Press Release:
Starting in July, Ms. Marvel will discover a new Marvel Universe-spanning mystery and she’ll need to have some unexpected teamups in order to defeat it! Wolverine, Moon Knight, and Venom will fight alongside Kamala Khan in a series of oversized one-shots by writer Jody Houser. Kicking off with MS. MARVEL & WOLVERINE #1 where Houser will be joined by artist Zé Carlos, these three issues will deliver an overarching epic that will see Ms. Marvel shine in battle next to Marvel’s most iconic and toughest heroes. The adventures will also be a perfect jumping on point for newcomers to the saga of Ms. Marvel as it lays the groundwork for her exciting next era!
The expansion of the Marvel Cinematic Universe continues on with the addition of Ms. Marvel to the mix as this Pakistani teenager gets her own mini-series on the Disney+ streaming service. As a close to lifelong comic book and television series geek, I cannot get enough of what they are releasing and don’t forget that the “Moon Knight” series will be airing in the coming weeks as well. The official trailer just dropped so I’ve embedded it below into this post with some basic premise, the casting that has been revealed so far and some promotional art. Take a look.
The Press Release:
The next chapter of Ms. Marvel begins this fall! Announced this morning in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, New York Times best-selling author Samira Ahmed (Love, Hate, & Other Filters; Internment; Mad, Bad, & Dangerous to Know) and Runaways artist Andrés Genolet will be taking over Kamala Khan’s newest adventures starting in MS. MARVEL: BEYOND THE LIMIT this September.
When Disney and Marvel Studios held their Hall H panel at the most recent Comic Con International: San Diego, we got a crop of Marvel films and television series and I not only shared the rundown but offered some Geek expertise on the batch which you can find HERE in case you didn’t see that. Now, as the morning coffee begins to do its trick, I am returning to a similar topic while the D23 Fan Expo takes place in Anaheim, CA as they announce some new shows that will exclusively air on the upcoming Disney+ service.
Ms. Marvel: Though I am not the most dedicated reader of the “Ms. Marvel” monthly title from Marvel Comics, I do think the character is a good idea. For those who don’t know much about her, this Ms. Marvel is one Kamala Khan and is the first Muslim character with her own comic title under the publisher. She is more of an Inhuman than a mutant or one that deals with the Power Cosmic but since she is younger, it opens up a world of creative storylines ala “The Runaways”. This could be an interesting series. Continue reading Exclusive Disney+ Marvel Studios Series Reveals @ D23 Fan Expo 2019→
