Marvel Comics First Issues Coming April 2017

Greetings my Marvelous Marvel maniacs, we are here and its April 1st but it’s no time for fooling around as there are plenty of new first issues launching this month for some sure to be exciting series. Before we get started did you see that trailer for the upcoming “Spider-Man: Homecoming” movie? I posted it on THIS LINK so please check it out if you haven’t yet and let us know what you thought in the posts comments. Now back to the news at hand. As in previous posts I’m sharing the provided copy from the Bullpen itself along with images for these new launches and almost every single issue has multiple variant covers. Remember that there are scores of other concurrently running titles but we’re only focusing on the firsts (and occasional seconds) with this posting. Here we go.

“Black Panther: The Crew” #1

Black Panther: The Crew #1: Black Panther, Storm, Luke Cage, Misty Knight and Manifold band together to take on a dangerous wave of street-level threats in this new ongoing series by co-writers Ta-Nehisi Coates (New York Times best-selling author of Between the World and Me and Marvel’s Black Panther) and Yona Harvey (Black Panther: World of Wakanda) and legendary artist Butch Guice! The death of a Harlem activist kicks off a mystery that will reveal surprising new secrets about the Marvel Universe’s past and set the stage for a big story in the Marvel Universe’s near future. Fear, hate and violence loom, but don’t worry, The Crew’s got this: “We are the streets.”

“X-Men: Blue” #1

Marvel Comics First Issues Coming January 2017

Hey there readers and Happy New Year once again. We are getting to the comic book posts a day later than usual since we had the whole “2017 Wish” for you to digest first. So here I am with the Marvel Comics stuff first and one of the interesting things is the whole “Monsters Unleashed” storyline. I’ve been posting the news about these over the last couple of months in an effort to have you better prepared for the invasion and you can re-examine those articles by clicking on THIS LINK. As we’ve done over the past years, the press copy and images come from the Marvel side of the fence and the I’ll close up with some personal choices. Here we go.

Meanwhile, Deadpool is about as helpful as he usually is.

Marvel Comics Says: “Unleash…the GWENSTERS!” Starting January

I’ve discussed the upcoming “Monsters Unleashed” stuff that Marvel Comics will be beginning in January across a number of titles and one of the press emails I received showcased a few funny variant covers that I wanted to share with you. They will give you pause in some sense and play off the ever growing popularity of Spider-Gwen and now Gwenpool. Take a look.

Marvel’s “MONSTERS UNLEASHED” Lets Loose Four New Tie-Ins

I’m continuing the share of the press copy that discusses the early 2017 Monster program by Marvel Comics which if you can pardon the pun speaks more about the “Monsters Unleashed” storyline and showcases some tie-in special issues. The art and press copy come care of the fine folks at Marvel Comics and I will speak a little more at the close. Here we go, the monster mash is coming at us soon.

Marvel’s “MONSTERS UNLEASHED” Lets Loose Six New Monsters in 2017

Marvel Comics has recently unveiled the six new terrifying creatures that will appear during the “Monsters Unleashed” storyline. Check out the press copy below along with the provided photos of these nasties and I’ll return afterwards with some thoughts.
