Marvel Reveals “Kang The Conqueror” Variant Covers For August

On August 18th, writers Collin Kelly and Jackson Lanzing team up with artist Carlos Magno to bring readers the definitive origin of one of Marvel’s most legendary villains in KANG THE CONQUEROR #1! The new series will unravel Kang’s complex history, tying together all of his greatest stories and reuniting his alternative selves from across the timeline. Created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, Kang is set to begin his biggest era yet. To celebrate the character’s first-ever solo series, some of the industry’s top artists have crafted outstanding covers that showcase the past, present, and future of Kang’s incredible saga. Included in this collection are covers by all eight of Marvel’s Stormbreakers depicting key moments in Kang’s history from his iconic first run-ins with the Fantastic Four and the Avengers to his epic showdown with the Young Avengers.

Marvel Announces “Kang The Conqueror” Series For August

This August, it’s time to tell the definitive origin story of one of Marvel’s greatest villains: KANG THE CONQUERER! Announced earlier today on the This Week in Marvel podcast, the Avengers and Fantastic Four foe will star in his first ever solo series that will tackle the complex saga behind the universe’s most fearsome time-travelling menace. KANG THE CONQUERER will be written by Collin Kelly and Jackson Lanzing, the popular writing duo known for their work on books like Joyride, Green Arrow, and Star Trek: Year Five, with art by Carlos Magno (Avengers Mech Strike). Together, this all-star creative team will unravel Kang’s enormous legacy from his expansive backstory to his various alternate selves, tying everything together and catapulting him into his biggest era yet.

As I had foreseen in my first post about “War Of The Realms” (seen HERE if you missed it), there is going to be a lot of announcements and reveals for the series wide crossover that this six-issue run will be focused on. Here is the latest as it involves The Avengers, Thor and The Guardians….ooops, “Asgardians”.
