Chugging along with the trailers that were showcased during the SDCC I’m up to the show “Gotham”. I’ve been doing so since the beginning but have to admit that sometimes it drains me. Anyway more on that later, check out the S3 recap and what’s to come in September.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: So I should start by saying how I ended up setting the whole season on DVR since I was hitting a lot of shows on the same nights that it was airing. Better to catch up a day or so later than missing it right? Anyway, I must admit that this season took me a lot longer to get through than I might have wanted it to and that is very simply because I was losing interest in it week after week. I am not against a Batman pre-history at all but when they keep introducing character after character that I know Batman never had as enemies until he was in the cape and cowl just annoys me. I guess I am a stickler for some traditions. So I am going to be programming this one again and will perhaps watch after a few weeks have gone by to see if I am going to keep letting it record. What about you readers? Are you watching the show and still enjoying it? Let me know what you think in the comments below.
Fans of the Batman mythology will be excited to know that “Gotham” will get its second season premiere this evening. Let’s check out the promo poster and official premise and then we can chit chat.
“The good. The evil. The beginning. Everyone knows the name Commissioner Gordon. He is one of the crime world’s greatest foes, a man whose reputation is synonymous with law and order. But what is known of Gordon’s story and his rise from rookie detective to Police Commissioner? What did it take to navigate the multiple layers of corruption that secretly ruled Gotham City, the spawning ground of the world’s most iconic villains? And what circumstances created them – the larger-than-life personas who would become Catwoman, The Penguin, The Riddler, Two-Face and The Joker? ” Continue reading Airing Tonight: “Gotham” S2 Premiere (9/21/2015)→
Have you watched any off the past “American Horror Story” series when they aired over the last couple of years? There are three of them if you haven’t already dug into them and there is some seriously quirky and spooky business going on in each one. The interesting thing about the show is that each new season is a different premise and not just one long continuing storyline. What began with the “Murder House” and led us to the “Asylum” caught us in a magical web with “Coven” and here we are now with nickels in hand lining up at the circus for its latest offering “Freak Show” which airs tonight on FX (check your local listings for times). Check out the poster below that I borrowed from The Hollywood Reporter since it was nicely sized and then we can dig into the premise, cast and more.
The Plot: The fourth season will be set in Jupiter, Florida in 1952. It will be centered around one of the few remaining freak shows at the time, as its members do anything to keep the business alive. The season will focus on the conflict between the freaks and the “evil forces” who do not understand them. The season will also feature a “clown killer” and a “bearded lady”.
