Hey there my fiends, we are BACK for the ATTACK with the rest of our findings from the 2017 Toy Fair Press Preview that was held at the Mezco Toyz HQ yesterday morning. I hope you have made it out of the snowstorm with no difficulty if you are in our neck of the woods. Its now mostly ice since its cold so be careful out there. Now its onto the rest and I’ll begin where I left off which was with this horrifying Annabelle doll from the movie “The Conjuring”. Creepy stuff right? A few friends have already told me that they were having nightmares from my first photo of it so here is another to keep you suitably creeped out 🙂
Of the InToy Fair 2015 was around the corner and once again PiercingMetal.com was one of the small group of press outlets invited to the inner sanctum of the Mezco Toyz company in order to get an advance look at their latest offerings. I would be joined by my stalwart colleague in arms, Skeleton Pete Parrella and present you with my findings in this post. Take a deep breath, map out how you might want to use that surplus cash going forward in this new year and continue on deep into this narrative. Licensed properties from “Breaking Bad”, “Sons Of Anarchy”, “Mortal Kombat” and “Batman” will join up with their long standing “Living Dead Dolls” and “Mezitz”. Here we go….
The members of the Press were greeted by the company mascot Gomez. Don’t worry folks, he doesn’t bite 🙂
Gomez
We were all escorted over to the conference room which had been setup to showcase all of the new offerings and in the center of the room were some banners. One banner featured the “Mortal Kombat X” license so we shall begin with those images.
Holy miniature figurines Batman, Mezco Toyz is unveiling their “Classic Series” Mezitz & Batmobile! Yep, those fantastically funky folks over at Mezco Toyz were holding an event at Ripley’s Believe It Or Not Odditorium to reveal their 1960’s “Classic Series Batman” Mezitz figures and Batmobile. Check out the poster below.
This was open to the public and of course members of the press so I made sure to be on point when all of a sudden a tremendous commotion started in the street – clearly the citizens of the Big Apple were far less used to the Caped Crusader driving by but here he was in all his blue and gray glory.
Batman seemed to be reporting in to either the Commissioner of maybe even Robin back at The Batcave. Whatever he was doing he clearly assessed the situation as one that he could handle solo.
