Monday is generally the day where we are kept the busiest based on all of the tours that are being announced. This one has been on many peoples minds for a few weeks since Tyr had posted to their Facebook the fact that it was coming. They just didn’t announce the actual dates or venues but now we have them so let’s take a look.

The Faroe Islands’ very own Tyr will return to North American this April with three of Europe’s finest folk exports in tow. “The Valor & Folklore Tour” will include Heidevolk, Trollfest, and Metsatöll with headliners Tyr performing over 20 shows in cities across the USA and Canada. This is a rare chance for fans to catch this fine collection of folk all in one venue!

The tour by Tyr and the rest has been postponed due to the concerns about the growing Coronavirus Pandemic. Refunds are available at point of purchase and no rescheduled dates are available at the time of this update. Tyr Return to Brooklyn and brings the “Valor & Folklore Tour” to our city. They’ll be joined by Metsatoll, Heidevolk and Trollfest. Don’t miss this one and make sure you get the pierogies.

Tuesdays will need to make room from being known for tacos to being a day where some awesome tours are also announced and this weird introduction leads me into the news about the tour with Russian Folk Metal titans Arkona. Russian Metal outfit ARKONA will return to North America this summer as part of their “Pagan Rebellion” tour, with support from Wind Rose & Metsatoll. The Pagan metal band is hitting the road on the strength of their 2018 full length, Khram. The upcoming tour kicks off at the Token Lounge in Detroit, MI on August 26th, and concludes in Chicago, IL at Reggie’s on September 23rd.
