In some shocking but also quite awesome early morning news, the legendary Black Sabbath, founding fathers of this Heavy Metal stuff, announced a special one-off performance called “Back To The Beginning”. This final show will at long last reunite all of the original founding members of Sabbath in a literally star-studded day of Metal.

The 67th Annual Grammy Award nominations were announced today via a YouTube Video and while we didn’t watch this rundown in person are happy to share with you the nominations for the Rock, Metal & Alternative Field. The full list of nominations will be posted over on “The Chronicles of Piercing Ken” website later on today but that one does take some time to edit and make look nice. We don’t do anything haphazardly after all. Here now are you nominees in those categories.

Metallica has confirmed that its record-breaking M72 World Tour will be extended into a third year, with the announcement of 21 North American shows spanning April, May and June 2025.
Two-night tickets for the newly announced No Repeat Weekends and tickets for the single-night engagements will be on sale September 27 at 10am local time. Since opening April 2023 in Amsterdam, M72 has seen Metallica play to some three million fans. At the time of this writing and publishing the post, the 66th Grammy Awards are already in progress on CBS and while I am not watching the proceedings I am able to share with you all the artists that won the “Rock and Metal” categories. They were revealed to the masses online and not a part of the show because why would anyone want to see Rock Artists on the program after all. It was just a short time ago that the Recording Academy had announced the nominations for the 2024 Grammy Awards and as is the usual practice here at the Metal Media High Command HQ, I’ve culled that almost 100 category list to serve up the nominations for the Rock and Metal releases. I’ve even kept to the inclusion of the Alternative stuff as well since sometimes that gets really close to the kind of stuff we are listening to as fans. There were some interesting nominations this time around.
