When we first discussed the topic of the continuation of the “Ghostbusters” franchise with “Ghostbusters: Afterlife” it was way back in December of 2019 (as seen HERE). At the time we were getting ready to welcome what was sure to be a bountiful year of to do in 2020. Then 2020 began and while it started out alright by March was an international disaster based on the global pandemic. Now as the world slowly rises to more sense of normal, a second Official Trailer has been revealed and we we prepare to enjoy it I ask you all once more “Who you gonna call?”

The Premise: A single mother and her two children move to Oklahoma after inheriting property from a previously unknown relative. They discover their family’s legacy to the original Ghostbusters, who have become something of a myth as many have long-since forgotten the events of the “Manhattan Crossrip of 1984”.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: I truly loved the first “Ghostbusters” film, enjoyed the second installment for the most part and like so very many of you, never even bothered with the redo of the franchise from a couple of years ago. That being said I was curious as to how this new movie might be and when it proved to be a many years later continuation of what we all enjoyed I was game. The idea of the family members of the famous team who long since retired brings some appeal to the front and with the young cast can “Stranger Things” be a good comparison. I liked what I saw here and look forward to more reveals. Though the summer of 2020 is far away, I will likely be sitting in the local theater for this one. What did you think? Chime in down below in the comments.

Today is the day my friends as its time for us to go higher, further and faster with the mighty Captain Marvel who makes her grand debut as a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe for the very first time. The film is opening up today in theaters everywhere but first let’s revisit some of the posts that were done in support of the release. Last month, Marvel Comics unleashed a crop of one dollar comics, their “True Believers” line which all featured her and you might still be able to get most of them if you ask your local retailer about them. Make a checklist from the post found HERE. I also showcased some Promotional Posters and a Special Look Trailer so click those italicized words to see the posts. Below you will find the Official Theatrical Poster, premise and casting. I’ve spiced it up by adding some other posters as well before my closing thoughts.

We are just about a month away from meeting Marvel’s “Captain Marvel” face to screen as the galactic powerhouse joins the other mighty heroes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It was only a month ago that the studio gave us a “Special Look” clip which was presented HERE in case you missed it. I’m excited about this one and I look forward to seeing all sorts of toys and accessories at the upcoming Toy Fair which this outlet is attending for its 9th straight year. I figured this was as good a time as any to showcase a number of the promotional posters that have been released for the film and I’ll start with the Official Theatrical one, the premise and the casting before you get to enjoy them all. Enjoy.
