The next batch of the Hasbro Toys “Spider-Man Marvel Legends” are on the shelves now and I wanted to make sure to get this reminder out should you be a collector of these awesome action figures. As you might have seen on some toy dedicated websites, this is a Build-A-Figure series and once you collect a full set you will have all of the parts to build the Absorbing Man. The images below were snagged at my local comic book store since they always have them on the racks but sadly the Spider-Man, Spider-Gwen and Venom figures had already sold out. Given the popularity of those three it didn’t surprise me. Take a look.
We are officially full throttle with our coverage of the American International Toy Fair for 2015 and this next post is a very special one to be including for you at long last. This chapter finds us exploring the Hasbro Toys showroom which is actually offsite of the Javits Center and closer to Times Square and this would be our outlets very first time exploring the showroom.
After checking in, the attending press are led to an auditorium, lecture hall sort of space to get the low down from Hasbro Toys company reps who specialize in each and every product line. The stuff that interests me most based on the coverage we do is of course “Star Wars”, “Marvel Comics” and the “Transformers” properties. Thought tweeting, Facebooking and yes even Instagramming is welcome from the showroom, you are not permitted to record or photograph any of the presentation. Trust me it was super interesting.
After the presentation, the publicity team leads you downstairs to the showroom and its here where its a world of wonder. Everything is set up into sections with “Transformers” on one part and the “Marvel Legends” items and the like in another. I don’t think I need to explain which properties are which so let’s let the images do the talking. Enjoy. I’ll chime in if necessary.
The latest Spider-Man film, appropriately titled “Amazing Spider-Man 2” does NOT come out care of Marvel Studios but is instead under the mindful eye of the Sony studios and if you enjoyed the first film (which I did to an extent) then fans should be ecstatic about the sequel coming out this summer. Hasbro Toys will be bringing this film to peoples collections with their “Spider-Man Legends Infinite Series” and as I did with my last couple of posts about these figures, I culled together the provided press images and talked a little about the figures. You’ll get to see what amounts to this whole first wave in its packaging. Let’s get started with one of Spider-Man’s most classic of villains – The Beetle.
