Beyond The Gates Festival Announces Full 2019 Lineup

The insidious forces behind the Beyond The Gates festival have firmed up the full lineup for this years event that will take place in a faraway land from where we are stationed. Brave a look, if you dare…..

The Press Release:
So this is it – the full line-up for Beyond the Gates 2019 in all its glory. And what a festival it’s going to be. The final piece of the puzzle is something of a treat. Abbath has just announced the follow up to his 2015 debut, entitled “Outstrider”. The album is due on July the 5th and the Beyond the Gates audience will be treated to a spectacular and exclusive homecoming show on the final day of the festival.

We are also pleased to announce the addition of German/Turkish black metal outfit Imha Tarikat. If you haven’t checked out their debut album “Kara Ihlas” yet, please do. Haunting and atmospheric black metal doesn’t get any better than this. Imha Tarikat will join Ritual Death and Watain for the very special Wednesday show taking place at Hulen.

Win A Ticket To See Marduk @ Gramercy Theatre On 8/29/2017

The Details: Let sound the trumpets over the Inferno for Marduk is returning to NYC at long last! The bands last couple of forays were mired in “administrative” issues but now they are here. The bands brand of Black Metal is one of the most incendiary on the scene and if you’ve not seen them live yet you don’t know what you are missing. This tour finds them joined by the one and only Incantation and Abysmal Dawn who are two bands that you don’t want to miss if you are hitting the show. I haven’t seen them in a few years myself so I am very excited about the chance to do so and to also share the news that thanks to the fine folks in the Marketing division, we are going to put a couple of lucky fans into the show on the house. That lets you have more money for merchandise which is never a bad thing. Check out the details on how to participate.

When and Where: Tuesday, August 29th @ Gramercy Theatre (127 East 23rd St., NYC)

To Participate: I’ve decided to keep this an easy one and by saying that I mean I will be sticking to my usual formula of you readers giving me “3” things that you like most about the band if you have heard them already and if you are a newbie just give me “3” things that you are most interested in about their performance. Perhaps there are albums that “spoke” to you or concert appearances that sent you to the music shop to snag some of the band members earlier works. Just give me three solid answers and how important it is to be at this show. I know I make you work but I work here too so whining will not win out at all LOL. Make this good reading because the stuff remains on the website and can likely inspire new fans as well on how our freebies work. Writing “because they slay dude” is just too un-original and boring. I’ll be responding to the comments that I like most right below their answer. Kindly review some guidelines before entering your submission. We don’t have a lot of tickets for this one.

Marduk Will Return Stateside For 2017 Jaunt

No seriously, they are, I promise. They wrote that they were coming so we have to believe it right? Right? Sorry I am just being a little wry based on all the fans that were disappointed by the last attempt by the guys to bring their crushing sound to the states. That was the tour with Rotting Christ and Marduk was really lax in getting people information about their arrival. It sucked all around but at least people saw Rotting Christ and the rest. Not long ago the band announced their imminent return on their Facebook and here it is.

The Facebook Post:
We can hereby confirm the first set of US dates: An additional North American tour will be announced later on. Marduk + Incantation + Svart Crown

The label sent out the news a little later so I am editing the post to reflect that.

The Press Copy:
Legendary Swedish Black Metal band MARDUK just unveiled dates for the rescheduled North American leg of their “Frontschwein 2017” tour, which includes special guests INCANTATION and SVART CROWN (France). This highly anticipated run marks the first time that MARDUK has touched North American
soil since the “Voices From The Dark” tour in 2013. MARDUK was forced to cancel the North American “Frontschwein 2016” tour due to visa issues this past fall. Issues now resolved, the band is back and ready to treat fans to an unforgettable show filled with sinister classics of the MARDUK discography to the the war waging cuts from their latest release, Frontschwein.
