Lucasfilm Presents “The Acolyte” Official Trailer

The Disney+ streaming service has really been delivering some cool, universe expanding stories under their “Star Wars” franchise. Shows like “The Mandalorian” and “Andor” bring us to right after the original trilogy and right before it and now its time to scroll way, way back in time for “Star Wars: The Acolyte”. I’ve secured the recently dropped trailer along with the basic premise, casting and some art so I hope you all enjoy it. Take a look.

The Premise: The Acolyte is set at the end of the High Republic era in a world of “shadowy secrets and emerging dark side powers”, approximately 100 years before “Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace”. A former Padawan reunites with her Jedi Master to investigate a series of crimes, but the forces they confront are more sinister than they ever anticipated. (c/o Wiki)

Now Playing: “Star Wars: Episode VI – Return Of The Jedi” (4/28/2023)

We are fast approaching “Star Wars Day” for 2023 and what better way to lead into the celebration than with a theatrical re-release of the bonafide classic “Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of The Jedi” which celebrates its own 40th Anniversary in the coming weeks. The film is being presented for a limited time in limited theaters so you’ll need to do some Googling about that to see if it will be playing near you. I’ve added the brand-new poster, and more down below.

The Premise: After rescuing Han Solo from Jabba the Hutt, the Rebels attempt to destroy the second Death Star, while Luke struggles to help Darth Vader back from the dark side.

I’m of the vintage where I was able to see the first film that featured Indiana Jones film in the theaters early in its run and I loved it quite a bit and recall being on the edge of my seat for much of it. Most of the film buff readers know that this didn’t even have his name in the title and ran under “Raiders Of The Lost Ark”. It’s hard to believe that this was some thirty one years ago but now Indy has returned for the fifth chapter in his story with “Indiana Jones and The Dial Of Destiny”. The first trailer was just released from Lucasfilm and I’ve got that along with the casting, basic premise and some promotional art. Check it out.

The Plot: In 1969, American archaeologist and adventurer Indiana Jones lives against the backdrop of the Space Race. Jones had started to feel doubts when the U.S. Government recruited former World War II enemies in their desperation to beat the Soviet Union out in the competition to make it to space. His goddaughter, Helena, accompanies him on his journey.[2][3] Meanwhile, Voller, a NASA member and ex-Nazi involved with the moon-landing program, wishes to make the world into a better place as he sees fit.

As I’ve touched upon the topic of the next installment in the Star Wars mythology with “Star Wars: Andor”, I’m going to say if you’ve any interest in the collected amount of posts done for the PiercingMetal Pop Culture section, you can just click HERE to see the full rundown. The series will premiere in just under two weeks and its being reported that a total of “3” episodes will be its streaming debut. With that said let’s take a look at what amounts to the second full Official Trailer down below. I’ve also kept the premise and casting from the previous installment but swapped the “Coming Soon” artwork with the “Official Release” artwork. Enjoy and oh yeah “May The Force Be With You”…

It’s been a few months since the Official Teaser for “Star Wars: Andor” was released and now as the summer begins to wrap itself up we get the full-on Official Trailer for the series. As most know, this takes place before the events of the amazing “Rogue One” film. Let’s take a look down below shall we? I’ve added some expanded cast and new artwork as well. Enjoy.
