Hello there my readers and “Welcome To February”!!! How are you doing so far in 2018? I hope that the New Year is treating you alright. If you’ve been following us since the bell first tolled on this one, then you know it’s been very, very busy here. So with the upcoming “Black Panther” movie opening up in a couple of weeks, I’ve given Marvel Comics the chance to be our first comic book report of the month. As you’ll see there are a great bunch of first issues, one-shots and special editions coming. We did hit an anniversary for one of the “Spider-Man” titles so I’ve featured that as well. As expected, the copy below comes from their official resources along with the images but the closing editorial is all me. Let’s take a look at what will be on the stands this month.
X-MEN RED #1: The Hate Machine Part 1. THE FIRST SENSATIONAL ARC OF AN ALL-NEW TEAM OF X-MEN STARTS HERE! JEAN GREY is back! Returned to a world she doesn’t recognize, the First Lady of the X-MEN gathers an unlikely team — NIGHTCRAWLER, NAMOR and LAURA KINNEY (A.K.A. ALL-NEW WOLVERINE) — to face an evil that threatens to tear down XAVIER’s dream by any means necessary!

DOCTOR STRANGE: DAMNATION #1 (OF 5): The city of sin gets its biggest sinner yet. When Doctor Strange raises Las Vegas up from its destruction during SECRET EMPIRE, he inadvertently opens a big door for the embodiment of evil, MEPHISTO! The devilish villain takes the city for himself and sets his sights on the rest of the world. It’s going to take heroes from all over the Marvel Universe to defeat him, but there’s nothing simple about fighting the lord of Hell.
The Press Release:
He’s been a breakout star since he could bark, a faithful sidekick to his Inhuman masters, and has helped protect an empire. Now, he’s got his own mission to take on — Marvel is excited to announce LOCKJAW #1, a new four-part mini written by Daniel Kibblesmith with art by Carlos Villa.
During the first couple of weeks in September, Marvel’s latest offering was being shown on the big screen at select IMAX theaters. This sure sounds like a great way for the fans to get their official introduction to the “Inhumans” but sadly I wasn’t able to make any of these showings. The first two episodes of the series were a part of this presentation and now it starts all over again on the small screens as ABC premieres the first episode. Below are some images and reminder of cast along with personal editorial insight. Dig in.
The Premise: After a military coup, the Inhuman Royal Family escape to Hawaii where they must save themselves and the world.
The waiting is over fans of the Marvel Television stuff because “Inhumans” is here. Well. Sort of. The latest offering for the small screen Marvel Cinematic Universe will be showing in select IMAX theaters across the country and then not long after the run will make its way to the television screens of America. Last week I shared the character posters from the limited series and if you didn’t see those, just click HERE to check them out. I’ve also added the premise of the series and the cast for you.
By now you’ve had to have seen one or both of the trailers for the upcoming ABC series “Inhumans” and if not, just click the tag for the super-hero teams name in this post and the run of narratives will manifest before your very eyes like magic. The show will debut for two weeks in select IMAX theaters on September 1st and then begin a run on ABC at the end of the month.
The other day a whole bunch of character posters were released and since we LOVE sharing those with the readership here they are. I will limit my dialogue and let you enjoy the batch. Here we go.
