Greetings Readers and welcome back to the continuing presentations from the 2019 New York Comic Con. I’m now up to Day Two of the offerings but if you missed any of the Day One stuff you are so going to want to click HERE first to enjoy all of the chapters that preceded this one. I say this since I tend to refer back to pieces across the journey and I don’t want you to fall behind. Go ahead and look, I’ll wait – welcome back 🙂 So after Day One ended, I headed up to Paul Booth’s Last Rites Gallery to see the unveiling of a brand new graphic novel that is based on story ideas from Black Veil Brides singer Andy Black. Check out that summary by clicking THIS LINK.
To start off my day, I hit a press conference, panel or whatever that was called “From The Stage To The Page” and this was going to feature notable musical talent who have all worked on the comic book medium. Among these artists are Steve Aoki, Andy Black, Lights and the legendary Darryl McDaniels (aka DMC). Here are a few visuals from the panel, I did not record anything because I don’t think that ReedPOP likes that stuff. Don’t want to mess with the organizers after all.

Nothing like a little gaming news to send you off to the land of nod, unless you are me and keep vampires hours and will not be hitting the bed for another few hours. This is the latest brief on the mobile game “Iron Maiden: Legacy Of The Beast” which has proven to be quite a hit and if you are a fan of this you should read on.
The Press Release:
Mobile games publisher Nodding Frog and heavy metal legends IRON MAIDEN are proud to announce the arrival of a new PvP arena to their ‘Legacy of the Beast’ game – in a global first and representing an unparalleled level of integration in the mobile space, the arena was designed in tandem with Iron Maiden’s actual touring stage set, drawing on fantastical cathedral architecture to create a show stopping environment in-game and on the band’s current 38 date European tour.
Players of the game can also look forward to the introduction of ‘Beast Eddie’, the latest incarnation of the band’s famous mascot and star of their game, alongside many other new characters from the world of Iron Maiden making debut appearances in the game to celebrate their representation in the 2018 set list. Over the coming months fans can expect the arrival of favourites such as Icarus, Two Minutes to Midnight Eddie and Killers Eddie. Clansman Eddie was introduced to the game in the weeks leading up to the tour, prompting wild fan speculation over the track appearing on the setlist! As you know, we are big fans of the comic book medium here on PiercingMetal.com and have been offering up both monthly solicitations and deeper insight into numerous series on the website for several years. We grew up loving the first appearance of KISS in the comics and have seen other bands make appearances or get special issues focused on them as well. Now it’s time for Iron Maiden to join into the mix with a limited series called “Legacy Of The Beast”. Check out the first issue cover and full press release below.
The Press Release:
The first ever official Iron Maiden comic book series is coming from leading US science fiction, fantasy and horror publishers Heavy Metal Publishing. The comic books are based on the band’s hit mobile role- playing game, Iron Maiden: Legacy Of The Beast, where players battle as Eddie across the many worlds of Iron Maiden’s discography, from the ancient sands of “Powerslave” to the far flung future of “The Final Frontier”.
Comprising five fantastic issues, with an overarching narrative and incredible illustrations, Iron Maiden: Legacy of the Beast is written by Llexi Leon and Ian Edginton, with art from Kevin J. West, Jason Gorder, and Santi Casas. The first issue goes on sale worldwide from comic retailers everywhere on October 11th, but is available to pre-order online now. See full details below.
The comic book series expands on the video game narrative. As dark forces conspire to corrupt the fabric of reality, Eddie’s immortal soul is shattered and strewn across the cosmos – leaving a weakened, primal Eddie to battle across space and time facing off against the twisted legions of The Beast, seeking out the lost shards of his soul, and bringing order to the realms. With each victory, and with the aid of old friends, Eddie will restore his fearsome powers as he draws ever closer to facing the Unholy foe behind his fall… and thwarting a plot to unravel all of Creation!
