Longtime readers know full well how much we love the comic book medium and the assorted toys that often accompany a property here at PiercingMetal and a favored brand for sure is LEGO. With the Comic Con International: San Diego approaching fast, I am continuing to share whatever reveals I am alerted to. Check this out.
The Press Release:
This morning The LEGO Group unveiled its latest exclusive for next month’s San Diego Comic Con: PS4 Spider-Man™. A sneak peek at Spider-Man in his Advanced Suit as he appears in the popular PS4 video game Marvel’s Spider-Man in LEGO minifigure form. The minifigure will be exclusively available and given away to select Comic-Con attendees. Attendees will have a chance to win this minifigure in a randomized instant-win drawing on Thursday, July 18. Additional details will be available closer to the show.
In just about a month, the Comic Con International: San Diego event will take over the San Diego Convention Center and with it comes a score of convention exclusives and limited edition collectibles. As a longtime Toy Fair attendee, it’s my pleasure to bring this awesome Batman playset to your attention. Take a look.
The Press Release:

Welcome back my friends, I am here once more with the continuing exploration of the 2019 Toy Fair. This chapter is the second from the LEGO Press Preview and I’ve already pointed out that this is slightly different from the other appointments I make during the show. As before I will mostly let the images do the talking since there is no way that this readership are going to draw a blank when they see these characters. Let’s go.
Continuing along with the exploration of the 2019 Toy Fair, I’m sharing the sights and scenes that were observed during the LEGO Press Preview. This event is a little different from the conventional appointments and takes place at the Javits BEFORE the show floor opens. That makes it my very first mission of the massive event and you even get a sweet special badge to wear.
This would be my second year being invited into this preview so after I got a little coffee into the system (since this began at 7AM), I was ready to share a bunch of images with you. I won’t be talking all that much since these licenses pretty much speak for themselves and they had so many of them. Let’s begin.
For the last couple of years I’ve been announcing that I had attended the “Holiday Of Play” which is the fine folks over at The Toy Insider’s annual holiday event. It’s smaller in scale than their also annual “Sweet Suite” but its at this event where they outline the absolute winners in their eyes in terms of the holiday gift guides. Generally, I end up covering the event over on “The Chronicles Of Piercing Ken” website since a lot of the stuff is for a younger audience and while I do feature a lot of “Toys & Collectibles” in our category for such things, the cutesy or cuddly dolls and accessories are better suited over there. This year it’s a little different based on The Toy Insider launching “The Pop Insider” which was discussed HERE. This website and occasional magazine will focus on many of the same things I write about so the items that fall into the regular space I keep will be shared in this post. It will be fun, I promise. Let’s go.
