Back in October, PiercingMetal was in attendance at the 2023 edition of the famed New York Comic Con which took over the Javits Center for four days. During the course of our media coverage of the event, a series of artist interviews were done by site founder Ken Pierce. While all of these videos are resident on the Official PiercingMetal YouTube Channel, several have been collected into this post to expand the coverage that gets featured on the website. This is the seventh in a series of installments that will run until all the videos from NYCC 2023 have all been featured.

Hello again my friends, I am very happy to see you here as the media deep dive into the New York Comic Con continues along with the third and final chapter of the Day Three adventuring at the convention. By now you should fully know the drill as I get closer to delivering the final photographs and videos but of course if you are just now joining us because we met during the event, you will want to click HERE first. Doing that will open up a new browser tab with all of the NYCC 2023 content and let you enjoy it with a broader experience. I’m continuing from where I left off which was the Marvel Pavilion. Mapping Out Your 2018 “Free Comic Book Day”

As we are a few weeks away from the 2018 “Free Comic Book Day”, I wanted to take a few minutes of your time to talk up some of the issues that most interested me. Now I pretty much lean towards the superhero and science fiction titles if anything but as I glanced at the numerous free provisions that will be out there on that first Saturday in May, noticed some others that were a definite curiosity. I’ve snagged the images from the Official FCDB Website but if you want a deeper overview of what each title is about you should click over to them care of THIS LINK. My plan for this narrative is to group the issues into the “Must Have”, “Would Like To Have” and are “Somewhat Curious” about. Let’s go.

MUST HAVE: My must have list is always the longest but that is depending on how many of the titles focus on superheroes that I enjoy each month. Some of these issues didn’t have the final cover art available when I downloaded but the list below is pretty straight forward so I don’t need to add much more to the mix.

Scenes From “Free Comic Book Day” 2017

Today is the “Free Comic Book Day” for 2017 and there are a whole lot of awesome titles to secure for absolutely nothing. I hit my neighborhood shop Galaxy Comics in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn a short time ago and rushed back to showcase images of what is out there and that you should still be able to find providing you act fast. Here we go.

As we go through the stuff that I observed at today’s FCBD, I figured I would speak up on a few of them as the visuals go by but I will admit that I didn’t know every single title that was available today. This wouldn’t be a problem with the two offerings by Marvel and their “Guardians” title and the “Secret Empire” one. Each of these has a second story for fans to enjoy. Never a bad thing.

Not only is the excitement rising for “GOTG” since their film opened yesterday but also for “Wonder Woman” whose feature comes early next month. This Valiant Comics offering gives two tales which appears to be a common thread on this years FCBD
