Marvel Comics First Issues Coming February 2017

Hello my fine feathered comic book reading friends, we are now here in February and getting down to the nitty gritty of some of the first issues that are heading our way this month from the Marvel Comics side. As you know I only feature the first go rounds and not the individual monthly rest of it since there are plenty of websites doing that for you already. There is some interesting stuff coming along with three titles from the “Daredevil” mythology and more one-shots for the massive “Monsters Unleashed” event. Check it out below with the art and press copy that comes care of the Marvel Comics publicity side. Remember that each of these will come with a couple of variant covers done by other creative sorts and those “Monsters Unleashed” editions have a very fun “Gwensters Unleashed” variant to enjoy. Those covers were showcased already on THIS POST in case you missed it. Here we go.

“Kingpin” #1

KINGPIN #1: WILSON FISK BUILDS A BRAND-NEW EMPIRE! The KINGPIN has done bad things. Deplorable things. He has cheated the law. He has blackmailed rivals. He has killed. But that’s all in the past. The Kingpin is back in the city that he loves and ready to make his mark as a titan of legitimate industry, but needs to rekindle his public image. When Wilson Fisk makes disgraced journalist SARAH DEWEY an offer she can’t refuse, the spiraling saga of crime and betrayal begins anew. Don’t miss the start of Kingpin’s ongoing series, written by breakout writer MATTHEW ROSENBERG and illustrated in the heavy noir stylings of BEN TORRES, as Manhattan’s criminal mastermind returns to the Big Apple with honorable intentions, but no one in his circle remains pure on his climb back to the top.

We’ve been anticipating this one for a few months now and I am happy to report that the first full season of “Marvel’s Daredevil” or simply just “Daredevil” will be available to watch in its entirety as of this moment today but you will need a subscription to Netflix to do so. This is the first in a series of four heroic shows that are in the immediate plan with the others being “Power Man”, “Iron Fist” and “Jessica Jones”. These four shows will eventually be tied even closer together in an additional Netflix series focusing on “The Defenders”. Let’s have a look at the few posters so far and the premise and cast for “Daredevil”. I’ll be back after that.
