Last week, Slayer – Tom Araya, Kerry King, Gary Holt, and Paul Bostaph – announced that they plan to return to the concert stage for the first time since they concluded their Final World Tour in November 2019, to headline two summer festivals, Riot Fest and Louder Than Life. Today, the band announces they’ve added one last U.S. 2024 festival date, headlining the Aftershock Festival on October 10 at Discovery Park in Sacramento, CA.
In a statement, the band said, “There’s been a lot of excited fans out there about our playing a couple of festival dates, so it’s great to be able to add this last one.”

For the first time since the band wrapped the last concert of its Final World Tour back in November 2019, Slayer – Tom Araya/ bass & vocals, guitarists Kerry King and Gary Holt, and Paul Bostaph on drums – announce they will return to the stage this fall, headlining two major festivals, Riot Fest and Louder Than Life.
Last night, the legendary Thrash Metal band Slayer completed the touring run of “The Final Campaign” with a sold-out performance at the Los Angeles Forum. As most of you already know, this show also marked the end of touring activity for the band as a whole. Fortunately for those of us who could make the trip or get a ticket at all, one of the fans in the front recorded the last minutes of the show and we are sharing their clip for the masses to enjoy.
After the closing number of “Angel Of Death” was performed, the band did the group photo with the audience behind them and then called our their crew who kept things in motion night after night for their own photo. After these photos were taken and a number of guitar picks and drumsticks were thrown to the ravenous crowd, a choked up Tom Araya took to the microphone and offered up these closing words. I’ve been posting broadcasts about the Slayer feature and concert film called “Slayer: The Repentless Killogy” for a few months now and if you care to see the rundown of commentaries and insider information about this film then just click HERE to be up to snuff. This film opens today in select theaters for a one night only presentation. For those residents of New York City reading this update its even more exciting as the band is bringing their Farewell Tour to Madison Square Garden this coming Saturday for the last time ever.
As you might have expected, we’ve been keeping close tabs on the doings and brewings in Camp Slayer as not only is the band on their final tour ever but they have a short movie and concert film coming out in the coming days as well. It was a few weeks ago where I helped broadcast the Official Trailer for the film “Slayer: The Repentless Killogy” and you can see that HERE in the event that you missed it. In a new video released today, SLAYER’s Tom Araya and Kerry King share the story behind the previously-unseen short film and boundary-pushing music video trilogy that is set to be presented alongside Slayer’s entire 2017 concert shot at the Los Angeles Forum. “Slayer: The Repentless Killogy” will see its one-night theatrical screening take place around the world on Wednesday, November 6, from Trafalgar Releasing.
Featured in this exclusive new interview footage, Araya and King break down the making of the final film, from the original concept for the “Repentless” music video with director BJ McDonnell, to collaborating with Nuclear Blast Records and Prime Zero Productions to produce McDonnell’s larger vision for a unique, three-part narrative trilogy of relentlessly blood-soaked, revenge-driven music videos and the short film they inspired.
