Holy Time Jump Batman! I cannot believe we are already in November. Did you readers have a fun Halloween yesterday? If you dressed up for any party or did it just in spirit of the day I hope you had an awesome time. So yeah this month of November is ready to rock our socks with the geek stuff because we have three things to enjoy in terms of the shows and films with “Thor: Ragnarok” opening at the end of the week and then “Punisher” on Netflix and then it’s the “Justice League” film which we should celebrate a little louder on a post about DC Comics. While we are on that topic of “Justice League” and comics, there are a number of variant covers being released this month and I shined a spotlight on them in an earlier post that you can find on THIS LINK. Since today is also New Comic Book Day you are going to want to double check with your retailer when you pop in for your titles this week if any of those covers interest you. Okay let’s get on down to the nitty gritty. As usual the press copy and images come from the DC Entertainment folks but all this fine editorial stuff comes from me – Here we go.

Welcome to August my comic loving friends and I hope that the summer has been treating you well so far. Can you believe that we are almost done with it? Before you blink, September is going to be here and it’s back to school for the readers who are doing that and more focus on the workaday world for the folks that enjoyed some quality break time during the summer months. I’m starting our comic book solicitations narratives with the stuff coming out from DC Comics this month because we are going to find the movie “Suicide Squad” opening up at the end of the week. This will be the third film in the growing DC Extended Universe and there are plenty of titles with characters from the film on the stands this month. We posted the films “Blitz Trailer” some weeks ago which you can see HERE if you missed it. As before I’m using the provided to the media press copy and artwork to bring all of this coolness to your attention. I’ll return at the close to offer up some additional personal Geek opinion. Here we go, and believe me you will want a new coffee or water for this since there are quite a few titles to line out. DC Comics First Issues Coming In June 2016

Alright my friends, we are up to the DC Comics offerings for June 2016 and this is the big one, or well at least the start of the big one because the “DC Universe: Rebirth” event is here. Yep, there is no more “The New 52” series running and it’s time to go back to the basics and start anew. This new initiative is going to find brand new first issues coming out en masse and many of them will be available twice a month once the series get started. Many of the titles will bear a $2.99 cover price which is cool since it’s a little cheaper but remember you will be getting two issues each month so it probably doesn’t matter if you collect a lot of titles and buy that “reserved for posterity” copy as well. With “Rebirth”, the core titles will each get a special one-shot “Rebirth” issue that will lead us into the new series. Since the new comics have already hit the stands a couple of days ago with my timing of this post, I can say that I read a bunch and its really off to a promising start. I highly recommend that you start your own journey into “Rebirth” with the special edition one-shot that came out last month entitled “DC Universe: Rebirth”. Its already up to a third printing as it’s been that well-received. As always the press and images come care of our friends at DC Comics and we only showcase the first issue in the narratives. There are other titles running concurrently. Here we go.

"Superman: Rebirth" #1
