Out Now: “Prometheus: Fire and Stone” #1

About The Comic: When the Prometheus never returned from her fateful journey to LV-223, the questions surrounding the origins of man went unanswered. Now a new team of explorers seeks to uncover the dark mystery that holds not only the fate of theoriginal mission, but possibly their own damnation. Ties directly into the hit motion picture! First issue in a blockbuster crossover event!

PiercingMetal Thoughts: While I love that Dark Horse Comics is going to be doing a connecting series of titles to expand upon this story line, I must share with you that I absolutely HATED this “Prometheus” film. Now, a lot of my friends thought it was amazing but I felt it was too long, too ponderous and really only offered up a small amount of “jeepers” moments. To each their own right? All I know is that I am NOT adding this film to my video library nor will I ever watch it again. With that being said I will peruse the comic when its on the shelves of my local shop but I don’t think that I am going to buy the single issues and instead shall wait for the collected edition. This is going to cross into a title with Aliens and Predator franchises so in a few months I will have some pretty creepy reading to do. What do you readers think about the idea of this “Prometheus” comic series and it connecting to the other character universes? Let me know in the comments section below.
