You’ve waited a very, very, very long time for the return of the X-Men on television and now my friends I can say to hold on tight as the continuation from the original “X-Men: The Animated Series” continues along with Marvel Animation’s “X-Men ’97”. Needless to say we are super excited about this and especially looking forward to the day when the live-action X-Men will be keeping us on the edge of our seats as part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This new animated series will have to hold us over until that time of course and be advised that the premiere will give us two episodes instead of one which is awesome. Now, before we get this show on the road, lets refresh our memory of the series poster and the expanded voice cast list down below.

It’s been a very long time since the folks at Marvel were about to do anything regarding the X-Men on film or on television but now as 100% owners of 20th Century Studios, the rights have returned to them and the plans are in motion. While the live-action stuff is sorted out, Marvel Studios will be continuing the popular “X-Men: The Animated Series” that ran for a few years and ended in 1992. This new series picks up where they left off and will premiere on Disney+ in late March. The first Official Trailer just dropped and I’ve got it down below for you to enjoy along with much of the voice cast and the characters that they are doing. Take a look.

Premise: No overall presence was given but the series will continue where the “X-Men: The Animated Series” from 1992 left off.

Airing Today: “Green Lantern: The Animated Series” (11/11/2011)

It might be National Metal Day for us diehards but for the animated series maniacs today is rather important because the “Green Lantern Animated Series” begins airing today as well on the Cartoon Network. It’s Developed by Bruce Timm, Giancarlo Volpe and Jim Krieg with Direction by Sam Liu, and Rick Morales. From the looks of GL in the banner below, you can tell that this will work with the same animation style as “Batman Adventures” and “The Adventures Of Superman’. I like that for consistency sake.

Banner - Green Lantern Animated

The series is computer generated which should be really cool to see on television and it follows the adventures of Green Lantern and Kilowog as they travel to the far ends of space and come into conflict with assorted lanterns across the spectrum. We’ll find Red, Orange, Blue and Yellow Lanterns coming into blows with our emerald hero. The cast is below.
