Marvel Celebrates Jean Grey’s Return With “TRUE BELIEVERS: PHOENIX” Comics!

The news about these issues began making the rounds a short time ago but I waited to let the excitement about the opening “Thor: Ragnarok” movie to settle in before I called your attention to any big comic book initiative. We recently discussed the return of Jean Grey who Marvel Comics fans know full well is the mighty Phoenix and in honor of the return the next round of “True Believers” titles will center around the massively powerful mutant. Read on.

Marvel Reveals Jean Grey’s “X-Men Red” Team!

While we love sharing the monthly first issues that are coming from the various publishers, we also get a lot of new title launch announcements here at the Media Command HQ and I figured that it’s a good idea to share them with you all. This one shares the insight on the upcoming “X-Men:Red” series which is a new team led by Jean Grey, The Phoenix. Let’s take a look.

Last week, Marvel announced the continuation of Jean Grey’s story with X-MEN RED, a brand-new series written by Tom Taylor (All-New Wolverine) with art by Mahmud Asrar (All-New, All-Different Avengers Generations: The Unworthy Thor & The Mighty Thor). Today, Marvel is excited to reveal the heroes who will accompany the omega-level telepath as she battles against one of mutantkind and mankind’s most dangerous villains! This uniquely qualified strike force includes Namor, Nightcrawler, All-New Wolverine, her sister Gabby, Gentle (a mutant from Wakanda), and the mysterious new character Trinary, whose secrets will be revealed throughout the pages of X-MEN RED!

“We’ve also got one more fan-favorite hero joining the team in this first arc,” says X-MEN group editor Mark Paniccia. “As the threat level escalates, Jean needs to build a highly specialized team…not just those she trusts, but allies who can survive the oncoming storm.”

Marvel Celebrates The Return of Jean Grey With “PHOENIX” Variants

Clearly when it comes to comics you can always return and that is a pretty exciting prospect when it comes to Jean Grey, the original Phoenix who is getting her return in the upcoming specials in the coming months. Now its time to share some variant covers to some of the currently running titles that celebrate this amazing return. I’ll close out as always down below. Check it out.

Marvel To Celebrate July’s “Astonishing X-Men” #1 with “X-Men Trading Card” Variants

I’ve really been enjoying the means to broadcast the awesome variant covers that have been coming our way from the Marvel Comics side of the fence and hopefully you’ve managed to secure a few of this month’s “Mary Jane Watson” variants if you are collecting this sort of thing. I lined out the assorted covers on THIS POST so make sure you give it a look over once more if you are in the comic book shop so you get them. Now its time for Marvel to celebrate the launch of the brand new title “Astonishing X-Men” which is hitting the racks in July. Marvel Comics First Issues Coming In May 2017

Welcome to our Merry Media Month of May my Friends, I hope you are ready for some Marvel-ous times this month. It appears that we not only have a whole fresh crop of first issues launching this month but the much-anticipated sequel to “Guardians Of The Galaxy” will open up this coming Friday. Some of the new series have a second issue coming out this month so I said what the heck and decided to share that here in this post as well. As usual the cover art and overall premise of these titles comes from the House Of Ideas itself and while there are NUMEROUS variant covers coming out for so many of these issues, I have only placed the cover of the main standard issues. We have a lot of ground to cover in this one so let’s get started shall we? Here we go.
