Marvel Studios Reveals Partial Casting and Production Start for “Avengers: Doomsday”

After a five plus hour live-streaming event which from what I was told consisted of mostly looking at chairs, the folks at Marvel Studios have officially announced some of the casting and that production has officially begun on the upcoming epic “Avengers: Doomsday”. A shortened clip is embedded below for your consumption and the revealed casting so far is below but not much else was disclosed. I’ll return at the close with some editorial rumblings.

Now Streaming: “The Stand” on CBS All Access (12/17/2020)

It was only a couple of months ago when we last discussed the upcoming Stephen King mini-series “The Stand”. This will air episodically over on the CBS All Access streaming service and if you missed the dramatic trailer please click HERE for some quick background. It really looks good and below you will find the poster, premise and ensemble casting. Don’t worry I will close out with some editorial for good measure since you expect me to.

The Premise:
The Stand is described as “King’s apocalyptic vision of a world decimated by plague and embroiled in an elemental struggle between good and evil. The fate of mankind rests on the frail shoulders of the 108-year-old Mother Abagail and a handful of survivors. Their worst nightmares are embodied by a man with a lethal smile and unspeakable powers: Randall Flagg, the nefarious ‘Dark Man.’

Show Highlights From NYCC Metaverse: Day Two

The Scoop: So as you know, this year the annual New York Comic Con had gone virtual and delivered unto the Geeks at large an event known as “New York Comic Con x MCM Comic Con’s Metaverse”. Last night I posted the update from their press team which you can peruse by clicking HERE in the event that you didn’t get to experience any of it in “real time”. Now with Day Two of the convention closed out, I continue the process to shine the spotlight on what they deemed most noteworthy. Enjoy.

It’s without question that the streaming services have been kicking it up a notch with the content they are offering their subscribers which during a global pandemic is a very, very good thing. CBS All Access has just released the official trailer for their upcoming mini-series with Stephen King’s “The Stand”. Let’s take a look at this down below along with some premise, a promotional visual and the ensemble cast.

Opening Today: “X-Men: Days Of Future Past” (5/23/2014)

The fate of Mutantkind’s future lies deep within its past as X-Men of all generations and teams unite for battle in “X-Men: Days Of Future Past” which opens up in theaters everywhere today. I’ve been a fan of the X-Men comics franchise for many years and have so far seen all of the films so this one interests me quite a bit. The Premise: X-Men: Days of Future Past is a 2014 superhero film directed and co-produced by Bryan Singer and written by Simon Kinberg from a story by Kinberg, Jane Goldman and Matthew Vaughn. The film is based on the fictional X-Men characters that appear in Marvel Comics and is the seventh installment of the X-Men film series, the sequel to both X-Men: The Last Stand (2006) and X-Men: First Class (2011). The story, inspired by the 1981 Uncanny X-Men storyline “Days of Future Past” by Chris Claremont and John Byrne, focuses on two time periods, with Wolverine traveling back in time to 1973 to change history and prevent an event that results in doom for both humans and mutants.
