There are a lot of our readers digging into the Anime and Manga stuff and we applaud them since its just so massive an extension of the geek interests that we personally don’t even know how to catch up on some of it. One popular series is “Battle Angel: Alita” and as you can see they’ve reversed the name for the film. The trailers look like some exciting stuff and the last one I posted can be observed HERE in the event you missed it. This film opens today in theaters everywhere so take a look at the poster, premise and some casting before my closing editorial notions.
The Premise: “Alita: Battle Angel” follows the story of the titular Alita, a disembodied “core” who awakens with no memory in a post-apocalyptic world destroyed by a technological fall. Dr. Ido finds her and gives her a new body. They later discover that Alita is more than what she seems and has an extraordinary past. As she navigates her new life, she battles other machines who are empowered with skills. Continue reading Now Playing: “Alita: Battle Angel” in Theaters Everywhere (2/14/2019)→

A new trailer recently surfaced and I will continue the support by sharing this one down below and repeat the premise and casting. There’s also a newer promotional poster and slightly different editorial at the close. Let’s go.

As you might recall, we showcased some of the details and visuals from “The Tick” that ran its debut season a few months ago on the Amazon Prime service. It’s a streaming show so you’ll need to either be a subscriber or be sharing the account with another member of your family in your household. Earlier today the series had its “Part Two” of the first season become available and here are some details for those just joining us.
The Premise: The Tick is a nigh-invulnerable superhero in a blue tick costume who arrives in The City to help combat crime, and uncover the mysterious figure behind the city’s underworld. He befriends (or may have been imagined into existence by) a nervous and mild-mannered young man called Arthur who becomes his sidekick: They come to realize that an apparently long-dead supervillian called “The Terror” may still be pulling the strings in the city’s underworld. Since I’ve been showcasing some of the details and visuals from “The Tick” I might as well put out a reminder that this show is now available for streaming on the Amazon Prime service. That means you can ONLY watch this if you are an Amazon Prime member or share the access with someone in your family who has signed up for it and added the means to do so on your main entertainment devices. Here’s the official show poster and I’ve reminded of cast and premise down below.
