Opening: “Incredibles 2” in Theaters Everywhere (6/15/2018)

As a card-carrying fan of the superhero genre along with comic books and the films that come out to showcase them to the world, I was a big fan of Disney’s “The Incredibles” from 2004. The popularity of the film makes me a little surprised that it took until 2018 to deliver a sequel but here we are as the film opens today in theaters everywhere. I showcased the trailer some weeks ago and if you didn’t see it yet please click HERE. Below you will find the theatrical poster, premise and casting.

The Parr family struggles to maintain normal lives while Helen, as Elastigirl, continues to fight crime and campaign for the return of “supers”; while Bob, also known as Mr. Incredible, stays at home caring for their children Violet, Dash and Jack-Jack, discovering the baby’s secret powers in the process. Also, the Parrs and their ally Frozone find they must battle a new villain, who goes by the name of Screenslaver. (thanks Wiki).

I guess it was about a month ago when I posted the teaser trailer for “Incredibles 2” that only focused on Jack Jack (or maybe it was far longer ago) but now we have the first full-on trailer for the film. Let’s watch.

The “Batman v Superman” Film Will Be Titled…..

Queue dramatic music………….sound the trumpets and hit that big tympani drum for the title will be…….“Batman Vs. Superman: Dawn Of Justice” – I just read this on Superherohype.com and had to share it with you all because I’ve been discussing this upcoming presentation on the blog. So what do you readers think? Does it work for you? Let’s examine.

So we already have learned that “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” will star Henry Cavill in the role of Clark Kent/Superman (just as he did with “Man Of Steel” along with Ben Affleck as BruceWayne/Batman, and Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman. We’ll also get Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane returning from the “Man of Steel” film portraying the roles of Lois Lane, Perry White and Ma Kent. Jesse Eisenberg will be Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred, and Callen Mulvey, Tao Okamoto (The Wolverine) and Holly Hunter in roles that have been newly created for the film and not disclosed at the time of this writing. They did cast Ray Fisher as Victor Stone and if you have read any Teen Titans over the last dozen years you know exactly who this is. With the title and some of the castings this is obviously going to be a direct lead in to the proposed “Justice League” film that WB has been clamoring for ever since “Marvel’s The Avengers” took home so much $$$. It’s not going to be easy and especially if they are rushing to do it.

I’ve already lined out disappointment in the choice of Ben Affleck as Batman and honestly even though I like him as an actor, do not think we need to keep revisiting Luthor in almost every case of Superman on the big screen. Come on Hollywood, the Big Blue Boy Scout has such powerful and intergalactic of scale enemies at times. Use one of them. The title makes it obvious that our heroes meet and then throttle each other and somewhere along these happenings we meet Wonder Woman. Okay. I am willing to give it a chance. Please Hollywood, make this one good because Marvel has not put out a bomb yet and is way ahead of you in terms of defining their universe on the big screen. What do you readers think of the title? Fans can follow along with the new developments on this film via its official website and its Wiki which I have linked for you below.
